Recognize that one?
Acoustic guitar arrangement of [G] Pat Metheny's tune, James, from his album [G#m] Off-Ramp.
A song I love playing, I've taught it to a few students, and would love to put together
a whole lesson for it.
It's a bit complicated, but
[Em] there's a lot of really neat things you can do in it.
[G#] And just pretty, it's reasonable to bring out most of [Gm] the melody that of course was
played with the whole band and that [G#] kind of stuff.
But it opens up with a really unusual descending [Cm] line with a D sharp 6 [G] chord, and then the
melody drops down a half step, [B] going into some really [Cm] strange chords and a lot of unusual notes.
[B] [F#]
[D] [G] There we go.
Gotta find [Cm] the right notes.
[B] So what we have here is a B chord with D sharp in the bass.
[G] So some of these inversions and voicings that you have to use in this are really odd.
Then you have to put [G#] together some normal [D] chords, major 7, [Bm] [C#m]
[A] [Bm] [A#] and piece it all together.
[G] So if you're interested in a lesson in this, especially, [A]
[G#] I'm thinking about putting one
together, but I gotta know that enough people would want to work on it to make it worthwhile.

find the recommend a lesson area, which is a button right on the home page, it's really

I would love to put a lesson together for this, but I kind of need to know that there's
enough folks out there that would really work on it, because it's hard.
But [G] it's part of the, we have a handful of extreme guitar pieces up there, and I love
putting those up there, because I know we've got some advanced students that are [C#] always
looking for a big challenge.
So if you're looking for [D#] those Steve Howe type acoustic songs, [D] or [G#]
some of the fancier Yoram
McCalkin and things, or John Renborn stuff, that's all the kind of stuff that I really
want to get [G] into in the [N] very near future.
