Paul Jackson Jr. on the Eminence Legend EM12 at NAMM 2015 chords

[C] [F]
[Gm] [F]
[Bm] [C]
[G]
Hey there, [N]
this is Paul Jackson Jr.
[Ab] This is NAMM 2015 [E] and [Fm] I'm here hanging with my buddies at the Eminence [C] booth and I just
found out about a [Ebm] really, really cool speaker, [D] something I've [Ab] been looking for for a number of years.
[Eb]
It is [Fm] the EM12.
[C] Now [G] I don't know [F] what the letters sound like but I [Ab] can tell you what the speaker sounds like.
The speaker [C] sounds great [Gb]
[Ab] [E]
[Gm] [G]
[Fm] and you know, it's [F] got a lot of bottom end, it's got a nice smooth
top end, punchy mid [Bb]-range.
It's really open sounding, it's a great sounding speaker.
And I'm sitting right here with the man who [Bm] created it, Mr.
Anthony Lucas.
Yes [E] sir, we had a, just like Paul said, we had a real need, we [Bb] had a lot of requests
for an ultra clean [E] speaker that [F] kind of went with the vibe from old speakers from the past.
And [E] we got a huge assortment of tones but not [G]
really that ultra [Bb] clean tone that this [G] speaker [C] is.
It's in our Legend [Eb] series, it has the cast [E] frame, 2.5 inch voice coil, [G] 80 [Gbm] ounce ceramic
magnet, I mean it's just a beast.
[N]
It's basically going to give you, it's not going to break up [E] and it's going to give you
the tone of the amp rather than so much speaker [Dm] [E] coloration and that was [N] a huge request we
were getting from a lot of people.
And it takes [C] like what, like 200 watts?
[Fm] It's rated at 200 watts.
So you [A] know, so it's not going to like [F] flop out on you.
[G] [C] [G] [Fm] You [G] [C]
[Gm]
[Bb]
[G] know, [D] so it's going to take it, you know.
[Am] But [Cm] I'm blown away.
[Am] Yeah, it [Bm] doesn't give up, [N] whatever you throw at it, it's just going to take it.
It's going to retain its clarity because it's got such a [Em] full bottom end and it's ultra
clean so it's just not going to give up.
You're not going to have the [Ab] speaker non-linearities that you do [N] from other speakers.
It's just going to reproduce.
Now what he just said about speaker non -linearities, you know, things like that.
I'm not exactly sure [Gm] what that means, well I [B] kind of am, but [G] bottom line is when you
[Cm] do this, [G]
[Bb] [F]
you're going to hear what your guitar [A] is doing.
You're going to hear what the [Bb] instrument is sounding like as [Em] opposed to a lot of [N] coloration
by the [Gm] speaker.
[Dm]
You know, what your amp is putting out, that's what you're going to hear.
[G] [N]
[Bb] [Abm] [Cm]
So [Gm] I'm a fan.
[C]
I'd [N] like two.
But no, seriously, you guys did a great job.
Thank you Paul, thanks for coming in.
Absolutely.
Once again, Paul [F] Jackson Jr.,
