So here's what Michael Coulson, he invites you on the show and you sort of say great
and he says we've got film you won't need to do anything
then he says could you bring a guitar?
and you go yeah but I'm not really prepared
and he says well no but you know I'll hand you it which he's just done
okay I'll tell you what the only thing I was thinking of doing
it's not really performing just [Abm] just explaining a little thing
before I did that Jenny Wren piece
and it's kind of it's like a finger picking style that I'm not actually [C] very good at
but it's a [Am] so [A] it's [C] got this little sort of it's got a melody going on the top
and a bass [E] line going at the same time
and I was explaining to the American audiences what how that sort of started
it was because me and George used to sit around [A] learning all the old [Abm] the basic rock and roll chords
but there was one little thing we used to do which was a sort of semi-classical thing
[N] it was like a little show-off piece we had
well it was actually classical but we made it semi
we didn't [Ab] quite know it you know but it was played a thing by Bach
[Em] and it went like this
[G] [Em]
[A] [Em] [E]
[N] and so
it actually goes
[Bb]
but we didn't [Ab] know that second [Em] half
and that [Abm] was a bit we went wrong [G] but I always liked this little
[B]
so years later I then [Bb] adapted it [G] into the song Blackbird
[Am]
[G] taking that sort of thing you [G] know
[B]
[Em] [D] [Db]
[Cm] [G] [Ab] [D] and I [N] said I'm not prepared
to tag board
I'm afraid that's all we've got time
