[Em] [D] There was a sense of activism amongst [E] everybody in the beginning of, you [A] know, it's part of
our [D] DNA, I think.
[E] Seattle-based group Pearl [Am] Jam's message was loud and [E] clear.
[Am] I grew up here and the homeless issue has gotten [G] worse.
Homelessness [Em] is at a crisis level for many cities across the Puget Sound area.
It would be impossible to not notice it.
I just think it's very important that people are active enough to where they not only feel
like they have a voice, but they do have a voice.
[A] [E] [D] We saw an opportunity [G] to sort of put a spotlight on that and to try to gather as many [F] different
voices to elevate that conversation.
[C] [Cm] We have a lot of energy in our [G] community and I think that we have a lot of [F] potential for
people to be [C] involved.
I see [Cm] incredible resiliency in our homeless [G] community.
I see people who are [F] beautiful and are just looking for that [C] one opportunity to help them
move to that next [Cm] spot.
This Home [G] Shows project is a really good [F] tool to give people the access to do that because
I think we've been hungry for that.
[F#] Pearl Jam is [E] announcing today they're hosting the [Am] Home Shows, two headlining concerts [D] at Safeco Field.
Pearl Jam is a [A] small part of this, but we have a [E] big megaphone that we want to bring
to this issue.
[D] Seattle's the kind of place that if we could come together, we can actually accomplish
something beyond what people expect.
We hope you'll join us in helping us tackle this.

amazing in Seattle.
