[C#] Hi, [F#m] I'm Nigel Watson.
[B] I'm Peter [E] Green.
We're in the 360 lounge.
Come and join us.
You're successful.
So bonk, there you go.
I'm quite a good man in the world, I've got three big hits, you know, or four, you know, now Black Magic Woman.
[D#] But it's just that you can't practice anymore, you see.
People keep coming up to me at the end of the night and they're saying to me how good I am.
I feel like I'm smashing them over the head with my guitar.
I don't because, I don't, but you know, something like that.
You feel like saying, well, why don't you stop doing that?
How do you get someone to stop saying, yeah, you were great and all this, you were great.
If you can't, if that's all you can say, well, you know, maybe they don't, it's obvious to that you can say,
they don't realize your predicament is that you're trying to learn to become great.
There's the age-old one of originality.
Whether to be original or to play, you know, your favorite tunes and things and hope that people like
listening to it, they don't know about.
When I joined John Mayles' group, he told me loads of stuff and
loads of old blues and I got a big collection of them myself.
Do you think other people might like to get to know this tune as, maybe it was something like that, maybe not.
Or original stuff, you know, to write your own music.
How do you go about that?
Do you, are you a purist?
To write your own music, how do you go about that?
Do you, are you a purist?
Or
are you going to, you know, just make your own music?
Whatever it is, it's going to be your own.
That's what I think you can approach,
approaches to creativity, to
originality.
My writing to me is nothing that I'm sort of proud of.
It's kind of a bit funny in some way.
It's a bit sort of,
a bit weird, a bit sort of
predictable, but much more obvious
than it would seem.
It's very sort of basic,
heavily, heavily on the basic simplicity, heavy on simplicity, you know.
You people got it, you've had your simplicity in this job, maybe anyway.
I would have thought so, but
music, you know, the more simple you are,
if you ain't got no simplicity, then you've got no
basis, you've got no beginning to anything.
So,
I like to do a whole lot, ever so simple, you know.
I want to get on down to Form 3
with this combination of people and
maybe that, maybe they all think they're all going to get a sack, well no.
I mean, we're all going to separate, but it's possible, isn't it?
I mean, groups don't usually go on forever.
I mean, the Beatles had the combination,
for earning money, but
tons and tons, they can't go on forever.
You want to seek new,
new things, new combinations and things.
But with this combination, I'd like to get a Form 3.
I'm very interested, very excited about
