_ _ [D] _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ Hey [F#] Marty
Schwartz here gonna teach you the beginning part of wish you were here now on guitar jams.
We already [Bm] have the
_ _ _ [D] _ Already [N] got the solo for you if you want to check that out
But here's the very beginning of the tune now.
I'll just point it out the little janglyness of the guitar on the original recording
It's a 12 string acoustic guitar.
So that's what that sound is.
But what we need is we're gonna just
We're [G] gonna play a [E] G chord, but with our ring finger and our pinky right there
So actually all the chords of the of the beginning section
Keep these here
Which is another thing that's used in like Wonderwall for instance, which is on guitar jams as well
So these two stay and we have a G chord
All right, I'm gonna zoom in and just show you the little licks and things that we need.
Okay, so with this G chord
[G] I'm gonna hit the top string here
_ _ _ Then my open my first finger is gonna be open and I'm gonna hammer on to the second fret
_ _ _ [Em] _
_ _ [G] bring it out _ _ [Em] _ _
_ [Bm] then the open D string [D] and _ _ _
[Cm] Then hit it with your middle finger actually just like the E [E] minor chord.
You can actually come down with the whole chord
we're only gonna hit this string [Em] and then _ _ _
_ [G] Check it out one _ [Em] _ _
_ _ _ _ [G] more time _
_ _ [Em] _ _ _ [Am] _ _ [D] _
_ [E] _ _ [Em] _ _ _ [Am] Next I'm gonna hit this G string right [G] here, which is open.
No fingers are blocking it _
Then the string up above it
[Em] _ Then my middle [F] finger comes off so I can hear the same string open and it's gonna go right to the G chord
[G] _ _ And that starts over check it out from this E minor
_ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[D] _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ [G] _ _ _ [D] _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ You
The next part _ _ [E] the D string
then the D [B] string again with the finger off and then the a string [Bm] and
Then the a string [Am] with the finger off
To it's called an a sus you put these [E] two right there
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] back to the G
[D] _ _ [E] _ _ [Em] And then that new one again
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ _ So here's what we have [G] so far
_ _ [A] _
_ [D] _ [E] _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _
[Bm] _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [Am]
That same [G] thing again and [Em] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ then it holds on the [G] G _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ [Dm] _ _ _ [G] _ You know into that whole solo thing.
Let me pick it back here.
It's a little easier for me _
_ [E] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
[D] _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ [Em] _
_ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
[E] _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _
[Em] _ _ _ [A] _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ [G] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [N] _ All right the next part we're gonna do C _
D a minor _ _
G
_ Check it out
We're just go one and two and three and four and so sometimes
I'll go one and two and three and four and that kind of stuff, but it's just
so [C] C
_ _ _ [D] To D a minor [Am] snacks to G
_ [G] _ _ _ Then D [D] back _ to C [C] then a minor
[Am] _ _ _ G
_ [G] _ _ _ _ _ Let's do [D] that section again, so we're gonna do C
[C] _ _ _
to D [D] a
_ minors next [Am] and _ _ G
_ [G] _ _
_ _ D
[D] _ _ _ _
C [C] a
minor _ _
[Am] _ _ _ _ _ [G] G _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _
_ [Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[D] _ _ [G] _ _ [N] All right guitar jams calm still going still building and
