Hi everybody welcome back to the moose that's music moose dot org
Now in this segment.
I thought I'd just play a little bit for you
Just so you can hear my [G] playing and maybe touch on [N] a few different things
You know I mentioned I playing bluegrass jazz rock and roll or whatever you wanted to play
On the banjo, so I thought it may be just touch a little bit on that
Maybe a little bit more so you can hear my playing and
Maybe we can get to know each other a little bit better over the internet if that's possible.
I hope it is [Em] and
You [N] can remember that you can always
You can always text me in this site, and if you have any questions about anything.
I sure will try [Em] to
answer them for you
[Gm] I'm gonna play a little bluegrass to start out.
I [G] think since we're gonna be starting with
[N] Beginning bluegrass banjo.
I'm gonna play an old traditional tune
One called down the road.
I might even sing a little bit for you because I like to [G] sing so
[N] There's a little bit of down the road
[G]
Well down the road down the road
[Em] [G]
Hey, there's a little bit of down the road now.
[Em] I think I'll
Think I'll play just a little bit of [D] jazz for you.
Just I [G] don't even know what I'm gonna play yet to tell you the truth You know
Start [Bb] with a little [G] blues
Where [B] jazz was born out of the blues you know and there's many different
Forms of [Gb] jazz you [Abm] know that of course started with [Ab] Louis Armstrong as far as I'm concerned
[G] back down [N] in New Orleans and then
[G] right up through bop and cool and [B] free [N] jazz and
Just a whole bunch of different layers in that [E] and that broad [G] term when we call jazz
I'm gonna be touching on about [Gm] that later on [Am] I
[Cm]
[Ab] [G]
[Bb] [C]
[D] [G]

Improvise and just [Db] just off the top of my [E] head just over I
[Ab]
[E] Don't really really know what I was [G] gonna do there, but just to touch a little bit on that.
We're gonna get into more
More jazz way down the road.
We're gonna start off with that bluegrass get you going on that bluegrass banjo first off
Now I think I'll play a little bit of
[A] [D] rock and roll
Tune that I wrote just play a little piece of this tune
That actually I'm gonna have to [Dm] have in coming out on CD [Bb] here
Probably hopefully within a couple of months with a good friend of mine Billy Gilmore who's also going to be teaching on this website [N] and
This CD is going to be pretty eclectic as far as the content
[G] Again, there's gonna be some jazz bluegrass and rock and roll
[D]
And actually I played the acoustic banjo and electric banjo on this
Particular cut
Anybody's just play just a little bit of that just to
Let you hear what it sound like

[G] a little bit of [N] that a little bit of rock and roll I'm not gonna be
[Bb] Yeah, and I'm just gonna be playing things for you
Just as we go along and I'm not gonna [B] get too fussy about how I'm playing
You know everybody plays [E] different on different days and how they're feeling
So I'm [C] just gonna let [N] things roll and just keep this whole thing just moving right along
So I I think I'm gonna leave it there for this segment.
We want to try to keep these videos just as nice and
Short as we can for you is to [G] keep
To [E] keep things just as good as we [Eb] can for you on the internet
So I might I might play [Bb] one more tune for you in the next segment [C] and then move [Gm] on to the [B] parts of the banjo
[Em] Parts of the banjo that I'm gonna be referring to that you're gonna have to [B] know because I'm gonna be mentioning
[G] Again, different parts of the banjo [E] to get you going
So thanks for joining me [Dm] again everybody and I'll see you next time right here on music moose dot or
