Bonjour, this is Papa Chubby and I am here at Guitar Extreme.
We're gonna play a little bit for you.
Yeah.

[N] Well, start with the easy lick, which is a classic Albert King lick that you'll hear
Stevie Ray Vaughan use this lick a lot and it's really simple man.
It's on the first two strings
of the guitar, the E and the [E] B string and we're gonna play in the fifth fret [Em] because we're playing
the key of A so we're gonna put our first finger here [A] on these two strings and what we're gonna do
is hit, here's the lick, [D] [A] [Gm]
[D] [F] [D] [Em]
now for the intermediate lick.
[N] This is a little thing I like to call
harmonizing the major scale.
If we take an [A] A up to the [Em] [A] 14th fret, we have [Em] two notes of an A chord.
[A] [G] [A] [G]
[D] [E] [Em] [D] [A]
[G] [G] [D] [C] [D] [A]
[D] [C] [D] [G] [Bm] [D] Now
[G] [D] [Dbm] [G]
[Abm] [Am] [Bm] [A] [E] the third lick, which is the [G] more difficult, is a diminished run which I really like.
This
[E] [Em] five-diminished chord for me was kind of like [E] opening up a whole [Em] new avenue to solo.
[E] I like
to use it after the four chord.
So on the four [A] chord in A, if we're going,
[D] [A] [D] let's go to four which is the
[G]
[D] back to the one, [A]
[D] four [A] and here's the diminished [D] comes in, four sharp four diminished.
[A] [D] [A]
[Eb] [Am] [D]

[D] [Em] [D]
[A] [Eb]
[Dm] [A] [D]
[G] [Dm] [Eb] [A]
[G] [D] [F] [A]
that's [E] putting them all together.
It becomes a blues.
Now you're [N] playing some cool stuff, not
the average normal stuff that everybody else would play but with a little different take on it.
Bye-bye.
We're gonna play a little bit for you.
Yeah.
