_ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _ How's it going guys?
[G] Today I'm going to be teaching you how to play Portugal the Man's [F] song Created.
So let's get started with that.
So we're going to start off with an F chord.
So dreaded F chord has a damn bar in it.
So we're going to have to bar the bottom two strings with that first finger.
And then above [N] that the second finger is going to be on the third fret second string.
And then the third finger is going to go on the [F#] third fret fourth [F] string. _
_ [A] Okay so you also have to learn [N] a finger picking pattern for the right hand for this song.
So your thumb [F] is always going to do the fourth.
First [A] finger is always going to do the third.
Second [C] finger is always going to do the second.
And third finger is always [F] going to do the first string.
So [G] what we've got for a [F] pattern is 4 3 2 3 1 2 3 2. _ _ _ _ _ _
So 4 3 2 3 1 2 3 2.
[E] Okay so you're going [F] to start with that F.
Do it twice.
Then move to D minor.
[N] So to do this chord all you're going to do is take off that third finger from the fourth string.
And you're going to put it down on the third fret second string.
But I like to do the pinky instead.
[D] It's all up to you.
[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _
_ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _
Okay and [D] then after that it goes a few times.
We're going to go up to B flat major.
[F] So same thing as F.
That [Dm] same shape.
But move [G] it up to where your third finger, so the root note.
[F] So that's the F.
[A#m] Is going to now be the B [F#] flat.
So that's going to be fourth fret, or fourth string eighth fret.
[A#] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ So do that four [B] times and then we're going to kind of change things [G] up here with the finger picking.
We're going to go down to F and we're going to go 4 3 [F] 2 1.
_ And then move that [F#] fret up to the seventh fret.
To where it's an [A] A chord.
_ [G] And then we're going to move it up all the way up to a D minor chord.
So the D minor chord is going to be third fret, twelfth fret, and fourth string I mean.
Sorry, third finger, twelfth fret, fourth string.
So that's there.
And then we're just going to [F#] bar on the tenth fret with [Dm] the first string for the bottom three strings.
So that's your D minor.
_ _ [F#m]
So that part's going to go.
_ [Dm] _ _ [F] _ _
_ [Dm] _ _ [F#] Then you go down to C.
So just down two frets.
And with [C] that major shape.
_ So the same as that [F#] F and this is going to be flat.
And then you only do it once.
And then you're going to go down another two [A#] frets to B flat.
_ _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _
_ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _ [F] _
_ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _
_ [A#] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ [F] _ _
_ [Dm] _ _ [C] _ _ _ [A#] _ _
[F] _ _ _ _ So that's the whole [F#] song guys.
So yeah, let me know if you have any questions in the comments section.
And yeah, good luck!
