[E] Hello, this is Paul Hummeler at Dream Guitars.
And by now, most of you have probably heard about Preston Thompson Guitars.
Making quite a [F#] big splash in the world of traditional music,
bluegrass music, people like Billy Strings playing his instruments.
And I met Preston a few years ago, and he's
just a wonderful guy with a long history in music and guitars.
And pretty new to the market as far as custom instruments goes.
But he's got, again, a long history of building and hanging around
with great musicians, so he really knows tone and woods
and how to put together a box that's a musical tool.
And this is one of our, it's a Dream series.
This is, we've had several made now where we provide really beautiful
old Brazilian rosewood.
Maybe a quick peek here, but definitely make sure you look at the pictures.
So this is a stash that I've had for quite a while now.
Adirondack spruce tops are just a traditional pre-war combination
of tonewoods to give you all the power and energy you could possibly want.
What I hear in these guitars is that it's very traditional,
harkens back to pre-war Martins, but in some ways, very different
and maybe better, maybe more compelling to the ear.
There's more warmth, there's a little bit more low end,
not so much mid-range focus, and the trebles
are a little bit fatter and fuller sounding,
which I personally just like a lot.
So that's sort of what people are really gravitating
towards with Preston's instruments.
Of course, on the [G] top, we did an amazing sunburst.
His bursts are just gorgeous, just really stunning.
And I asked for a little bit darker [F] around the edges.
This one has a 42-style [D#] inlay on the fingerboard
and a beautiful torch on the slotted headstock, gold-etched Waverleys,
just best of the best, as you might expect from a Dream Series guitar.
So I'm really proud of this guitar, and it sounds every bit as good as it looks.
And here's [Em] the proof.
