As always, the guitar is tuned standard, EADGBE.
And here's the lick that we'll be learning for this session.
The lick for this lesson sounds something like this.
[D] [N]
Now what we did to get that lick was we started
with the D string, 5th fret,
[G] [A] 7th fret, and then [C] to the G string, 5th fret,
[D] 7th fret, [Gm] back to the 5th fret and [Bb] bend,
and that's bending it up, [N] and then landing
on the 7th fret, [A] D string.
[Bb] [D] [Dm]
[Bb] I'm using a heavy pick, and I'm using all down [G] picks to pick that.
When you pick downward, you get a nice, pingy sound.
[D] [C] Alright, let's try that with our band in a box backing track.
[Am] [F]
1, 2, [Am] 3.
[Dm] 1, 2, 3.
[F] Now let's see what [Gb] that's going to sound like with a little overdrive on the amp.
[A] Quite a [Am] difference.
[Dm] [F] [G] [Dm]
1, 2, [F] 3.
[E] [N] Well, alright, that's our quick lick.
Thanks for stopping [A] by, and have a great day.
