When we started out we were quite heavily motorhead influenced,
and you can [D#] hear that from the very earliest stuff that we did.
And [E] then listening to a [D#] certain Newcastle band a couple of years ago,
[C#] what would that be, nine years ago,
[D#] we realised that yes, you can do that.
But the other guys in the band were fed up with Saxon [D]
and [E] Iron Maiden,
and I had [F] a quite difficult time [D#] persuading them to actually go faster
and [G#] to actually sing about this satanic thing.
[C#] And we did that for three records.
And then I realised [D#] that in my [F#] lyrics I was more or less critical
to this whole religious stuff than I thought I was.
And [F] I realised Sweden [D#] had a very [G]
interesting mythology in itself,
the Viking thing.
And you [F#] had to do it in the right [C#] way
so that people wouldn't believe that you were serious about it,
that yes, we do rape and pillage.
It was just [G] a story thing like this.
[F#] We're not told the [E] [D]
truth
[B] That we're all just a [A] lamb that is slain
[F#] Of the great [E] strangled beast
[B] Here come the strange, fainting armour
[A] [G] Swift in awful circulation
Coming [E] out of there like [D] flowers
[C#] And in our [C] hearing aids
[A] [F#] Oh
We [D] [F#] haven't decided on whether we want to make another studio record
because, [G#] like I said before,
going from Twilight of the Gods to where,
you would either have to take it one step further
and then perhaps people wouldn't be able to understand it
and it would just be absolutely nothing.
And otherwise you could go back and do what you did five years ago
and then you wouldn't progress anyway.
You could certify yourself [E] musically
or you could certify some people
[D#] and sell a certain [D] amount of records and make sure to make some money.
And if that's what you want and if that's the ambitions you have,
[E] that's okay.
But we'll do these two Jubilee-themed things first.
One [D] now and one [F#] early next year.
And if it turns out to be a success,
if we surprise people in a positive way
with this unreleased material which is on these two CDs,
then perhaps we will dig a little deeper into what we have on tape
[D] and perhaps come up with something. [Bm] So.

[G] We have [F#] used two tracks
that [G] were recorded on a four [B]-channel equipment
back in July, I believe, 83.
[F] And that [Em] was never intended to end [D#m] up on vinyl.
The reason why it did was [F#] because a lot [D#] of fans had written during the [F#] years
asking for demos.
And [F] we said that we never did [D#] make any demos
because obviously we [F] didn't end up in that situation
where we had to make demos [E] to get a record [D#] deal
because we ended up with two tracks [D] on a compilation [D#] album
as early as in January 1984.
[G] And from then [E] on we [G] made an album, like I said, [E] every 20 months.
And so we've been picking the fans' [D#] favorite track
from each [D] and every one of those albums,
three or four from each [B] album, [Bm] best ones,
and just [D] remastered it and put it out in [F] [D#] a sort of a marble package.
And hopefully those who bought the records back in 83 and 84
[F#] will enjoy it in the [E] same way as they did it [F#] back then.
