[C] What do you think of Rancid?
[A]
[D] [E] [N]
It's a blast.
[A#] I mean it's a great [F] job.
I mean we get to make records
We get to you know play [Gm] shows and get to tour all the [N] time.
It's really fun
You get to stand out in the cold and talk to people like you.
In Chicago.
In Chicago.
[C] [F] [C] It was the best [C#] show I've ever been
[A] [D]
[E] [D] [A] [D]
[E] [D] [N] What inspires your book?
Well it's just street level you know it's from the dirt floors and shitty parts of town.
It's got the Eno.
It's the same thing as punk rock.
It's real.
It's honest.
It's rebel music.
Rockabilly was the 50s.
Reggae was the 70s.
Punk rock was the 80s, 80s, 70s.

[C] [G] [D]
[C] [G] You [A] find with the revival of punk that there are [A#m] more skinheads?
There's more [G] traditional skinheads like the ones [F#] I'm referring to like the ska skins and the reggae skins.
There's not too many right-wing type of things.
They've all been beaten down you know.
They come to the shows to get their asses kicked.
If I see that I'll throw my guitar off and jump on it myself.
[F]
[A#] Yo are you guys [A] part of the skinhead community here?
[D] No we're not.
People who [C#] call themselves skinheads and throw up a Nazi salute.
They're not referred to as skinheads.
They're referred to as boneheads [D#] because that's all that's in their heads [D] is bone.
They're part of the I think we're the greatest guys in the [G] world community.
[D]
[C] [G] [D]
[C] [G] What did you guys [N] think of the show?
It was okay.
Last year was better.
Oh yeah?
Why?
I don't know.
Smaller.
Not as many people.
Alternatines.
Do you have the Rancid's latest album?
Yes I do.
And what do you think of it?
[G] I think it's awesome.
Is it better than their other album?
No.
[D] I [C] used
[G] to see [Gm] bands come through the Bay Area and they'd get on [C#] stage and be fighting and drunk and stuff.
And I really wanted to see this band.
And I mean they're acting like fucking jerks.
And here I [G] am working all day.
Working almost [C#] a whole day at some shitty job so I can [G] go to a show and buy a t-shirt or whatever.
And these guys [A#] aren't taking it seriously and it just pissed me off.
[C#m] So no matter how hard [G] we think it is it's not that hard.
And [B] we just try to get in there and do the best we can [A] every night.
[D] [A] How much did you pay for [N] the t-shirt?
Twelve bucks.
Is that expensive?
For you?
[E] No.
I got one fighty surfing everything.
I got knocked [F] down to the ground, kicked in the shin, everything.
[G] But it was worth it.
[G] [C#]
[D#m] Tune in to Facts [C#] tomorrow for part two with Rancid in Uptown [A#] Chicago.
