21 or 22 years ago myself and my brother Steve were performing in a small piano bar in the south of Spain in Puerto Benus.
The piano bar was called Duke's Piano Bar and it's not there anymore, it's a clothes shop.
But we were there for a couple of months, they basically gave us a contract, it was good money, we had a villa up in the mountains, free beer,
which was important.
And basically we spent those two months rather than enjoying the sunshine like anyone with a sensible mind would do,
we decided to record an album, we recorded an album called Swing Your Bag and we were in this piano bar all day while it was very very hot outside.
And at the end of the two months we decided to celebrate and [F#] Steve had a bet with the bar manager Mariana, not [N] Mariana, Mariano.
He had a bet that he could have a drink from every single bottle behind the bar, which I think he, I don't know if he achieved it or not,
I just remember him being underneath the piano after a while.
And the following day we missed our plane by 12 hours, we were so fucked up.
And Malaga airport was a real toilet then, it's nice now, it wasn't then.
So I wrote this next song in the airport with a hangover 22 years ago.
And it's probably the worst song ever written.
But I'm gonna play it.
The [B] airport song.
Here I am, sitting at the airport, [G#m] waiting on a plane, taking me to [E] New York, choking on my coffee when a girl goes [F#] past,
cause only funny things seem to make [B] me laugh, well, when I came, I didn't know that [G#m] I'd be still here.
A week next [E] Friday, my plane was late cause it's raining [F#] outside, someone stole the engines and we're gonna have to [E] glide.
[F#] Well, I can't sit [B] here forever, [E]
[F#] because I wanna go [B] home, never have I felt [G#m] so bad.
[E]
[F#] Or maybe I'll just [G#m] take a cab, [E]
[F#] because I think I'm [B] going mad.
Went to the bar to buy myself a [G#m] beer, I met up with this guy, he'd arrived last [E] year, bought myself a whiskey, lit a cigarette and [F#] said,
the more you seem to drink, well, the easier it gets.
[B] I guess I'm trying to tell you that if you're gonna [G#m] fly, get a set of wings and kiss your ass goodbye.
[E] And when you pack your case, better pack yourself a bed, [F#] cause if you had a wish, you'd be wishing you were dead, [E] baby.
Ale!
[G#m] [E]
[F#] [G#] [B]
[G#m] [B]
[F#] Basia Shalom Givich!
[Bm]
[B] [G#m] [E]
[F#] Ale Shasham!

[E] Or maybe I'll just take [G#m] a cab,
[E] because [F#] I think I'm going [B] mad.
It's a national bar, let's see if we go.
[B] La la la, [G#m] la la la,
[E] la la [F#] la, la la [B] la.
Okay, in [F#] Polish, come on.
[B] [G#m]
