Record Selection with Ned Russin (Title Fight) chords
Start Jamming...
[D#m]
[C#] [F#] [C#]
Hey, what's up?
This is Ned from Tidal Flight.
We're [D#m] here at Armageddon in Harvard Square
[C#] in Boston.
Run for cover gave me [F#] 50 bucks and this is [G#] record selection.
[C#] [D#m]
[F#]
Looking for
the [A] new arrivals.
Konkin Hardcore 7 inch box.
[F#] [D#] Tom from [E] Slingshot played drums [A] in Rain on
the Parade.
They're like an old Pennsylvania [E]
straight edge band.
Do you ever see them [D] play?
No, I never saw them.
I didn't know they was
coming up my [Em] award.
That's cool.
[C]
[G] This is [G] the Snobs.
[C] They're from Texas.
They're [F] like
15 year old kids and it's like negative approach worship.
And I have two copies of this but
I [C] buy it every time I see it just because I like it so much.
[Fm] They played [D] Posse Numbers 02 and they showed up [G] and they were seriously, I don't know,
I [A] think 15 or 16 at the time.
[G#] So their dads were [D] driving them around.
Their dads rented
an RV and they drove, they took them on tour and apparently they played Posse [Dm] Numbers on
Father's Day.
So they sent out the show to their dads.
[G] My tape player like eats tapes
so it [Dm] sucks.
I put it in and
[D#] sometimes they don't come [Gm] out.
[A#] This dad puncher is [Dm] Elliot from 2J's new band [D] and Jeremy from 2C [A#] just put out their 7 inch.
So [G] that's cool.
I haven't got a copy of it yet.
[F] [A#] I saw them play in Philly [F] on that Tiger Shot tour.
They were [D] cool.
Yeah, I mean this is
real cool.
This Blast sticker, this [A] Warzone sticker.
Blast [G] is an old California band.
They were on [F] Wishing Well for a minute but they were cool.
They just put like a new record
out on [D] Southern Lord.
Warzone of course.
[G] This is a cool COC sticker.
[A] Oh wow, Rest in Peaces.
That's the coolest thing there I think.
I've never seen that.
[Am]
[E] This is Blacklist's last
LP.
No one deserves to be here more than me.
It's one of my favorite records in a long
time.
It's really cool, really [D] different.
It's definitely a record to check out.
Will [Bm] recorded that, right?
Yeah, that was like the first record that Will did [A] pretty much [G#] at Studio 4 I think.
[E] This is Diagnostic, can I say?
It's from a more recent Discord press.
This is [Bm] one of
the best records [E] of all time.
From the era when DC was getting really melodic, it was
Brian [B] Baker and Dave Smalley and everything.
[C#] I've got two copies of this already but it's
a good one.
[D] Murray Street, [E] oh, Embrace.
This is an Ian McKay band.
The record came out after they
broke up.
[N] But this is one of my favorite records too.
It's another Discord release.
That's
one of my favorites.
I bought a first press copy of that off Jeff Nelson who played drums
in Teen Idols and [A] Minor Threat and stuff.
I bought that off eBay off him.
It came with
a little note and everything.
So I have that.
[E] This is Blake from Job Records' new band, Forgetters.
This LP came out last year but
it was definitely one of my favorites of last year.
It really grew on me really quick.
It's a little more like an early Jawbreaker but there's some [N] really cool melodic parts
and there's really good lyrics obviously.
These are [F#] both M.I.I.'s LPs.
Rev just re-released them.
This one's a little more straightforward.
This is the first LP, Difference Between.
This gets a little more melodic, Nothing to
[C#] Hide.
Nothing to Hide was an important record growing [E] up.
I have a couple copies of this.
I don't [C] have any copies of Difference Between.
[N] Is that a pickup?
It's a Run For Cover release that I feel like doesn't get any attention because they never
played any shows but Memorial was Pete Appleby from Rene Hardfelt.
It's a cool record that
doesn't get enough attention.
I stole one from, I didn't steal it.
I got gifted it.
But I got one from the Run For Cover office last time [D] we were there.
[F#] Mom.
[C#] This is another Teenage [D#m] Cool Kids.
I haven't heard from them in a [F#] while but they're cool.
This is the best record of all time.
This is the [Cm] new Rev repressed [B] [F#] with a Wishing Well layout.
[E] [F#m] If [F#] you don't have that.
You [F#] got it?
No, I said if you do.
[C] I have it.
[B] I have it.
[A]
[F#] That's it.
That's conceded.
Let's redo that.
I have that one, yeah.
But if you don't have
that you should check it out.
This is Justice [D] Escapades [C#m] on Youngblood.
There was a European press and an American press.
[E] They kind of took what they were doing, which was kind of a [C#m] straightforward late 80s New
York influenced sound and they really pushed it to [D#] the edge if you will [A#] to use their lyrics.
[C#m] And this is a record that, you know, with the likes of like Planet Mental [G#m] and a couple
other records from that [C#m] time that really, that they did something really cool.
I'm going to pick that up.
[Bm] This [A] is a Necros [G] repressed with some [G#] bootleg.
They're cool early [F#m]
Detroit [C#m] fans.
This is Rest in Peace is My Rage.
Same thing as the sticker over there.
This is members
of Sick of [B] It All [G#] doing some really rocking [C#] kind of hardcore.
[F#] This is really cool.
Definitely
got to pick this [C#] up.
Let me do my [D#] math real quick.
This is the [C] real.
[G] That's the real guy right [F#] there.
This is [A#]
No Tolerance's last [B] seven.
It came out a couple
years ago now, but I've been collecting this since it came out.
So second press.
[F#] I need
this one for the collection.
Are you over [B] or under?
Huh?
Are you over?
I might be a little over, but that's [C#] fine.
[B] [C#] Hey, what's up?
Just finished here at [F#] Armageddon.
My favorite record [C#] store in Boston.
Got some
records that I wanted, got some records that [D#m] I needed to complete my collection.
[C#] So thanks
for Run for Cover [F#] for having me.
