This is a request for Alex who wanted to learn how to play this song.
So [G] I'm going to show you how to do that [D] today.
There's a key change in this song so it creates a few [G] more chords to learn, but it's [D] kind
of a cool song.
If you don't want to do the key change, [F#] you don't have to do that.
You can just play it normal in this, the one key.
But I'm going to show you how to play [D#] all the chords.
I'll show you the strumming pattern and we'll go ahead and zoom in and get started here.
_ [F] Alright everyone, we've got a bunch of chords in this song.
So [G] we have G, _ E minor, [Em] _ [C] C, _ _ [D] D, _ _ A minor, [A] _ _ [Am] _ _ _
[F] F, _ [A] A, _ _ _ F sharp [F#m] minor.
_ _ [G] That's because we have a key change in there.
So we just start out on the G chord.
[F] So the intro, the [E] verse, everything is the same chord progression here.
So we're starting [B] out with the G chord.
Here's what the [Dm] intro and the verse would sound.
[G] _
_ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ [C] _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ So it's that progression there.
[G] If you can do the finger picking, you can do [A] that.
So what you would do is hit [G] the bass note, then hit the fourth string, then hit the second
and third strings together, and [D] then hit the fourth and third again.
So it would look like this.
[G] _ _ _
_ [Em] _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ And for [A] the D chord, you would just [D] hit the bass note and then the third string and then
the first and second together. _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] And if you can't do the finger picking there, [D] what you can do is just strum it.
And the strumming pattern is just going to be down, down, down, up.
So that's [Em] _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _
_ _ _ [C] _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ the first [A] chord [G] progression for you.
And then it [Am] changes on the [D] lead instrumental part.
So there we're starting on the C chord and going from C, [C] A minor, [Am] _ _ _
[F] F, _ _ [G] G. _ _
[C] _ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ [F] _ _
_ _ [C] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
[C] _ _ And then from there, we go into the key change and the final verses.
So we go from the C to the E [F#] chord.
_ _ _ [E] And if you want to add [E] in that second [F#] fret, fourth string on the E, you can do that with
your fourth finger over here. _
_ _ [E] _ And then it starts on the A chord.
So here's what the next [A] progression looks like.
_ _ _ [F#m] _
So A, F [D] sharp, E, _ and [E] E.
_ _ [A] _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ [E] _ _ And then you just finish out the song [A] there.
And that's everything.
So there's a lot of_
a couple of different key changes in there that [G] create a lot of chord.
If you wanted to just play the song in one key, you could be fine just doing that in
the G, the D key.
So I'll just go ahead and play [Em] that finger picking one more time and I'll strum it for
you one more time a little bit [F] slower.
And hopefully that'll be enough for you to get it.
