[G#] Last week, it didn't go exactly how we wanted it to.
It needs [E] to be more cohesive.
It wasn't blending [G] well.
Given the comments.
I think that we were worried [Em] that we could go home.
[F#] We've heard enough from the Gloom sisters.
I [Em] thought it was one of the best performances of the night.
You've got to remember, they've only been a band a few weeks.
You've got to worry about [C] harmonies, each other.
Much tougher being in a band than it is a solo artist.
They've been [G] getting those comments
that, you know, we don't look [E] comfortable.
But if we [D] just go out there, have fun, and do our best,
you know, that'll come along with it.
This week is Big Band Week, and it's also Thanksgiving.
So [A] we're all dedicating this song
to someone really inspiring.
My uncle taught me [A] this.
This is the first thing I ever learned on guitar.
It goes [G] like this.
[E] I got my love for music from my uncle Bill.
Ever since I was little, he would always [Bm] have family
together [F#m] for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
And he would always come over and he'd bring his [D] guitar.
We'd sing and play guitar and stuff.
You know, I pretty much [A] learned everything from him.
And he always wanted to try something [E] new.
Bill was in an air show in Florida and he crashed his plane.
He [A] didn't make it.
And it [C#m] crushed me.
Now that [D] I get the chance to carry on his dream
[A] is just huge.
I [E] really wish that he could be [F#m] here still
to see what I've accomplished [C#m] and what could be.
[A] I know he's proud.
[D] And I don't want to let him down.
[A] Bring some of that passion and sincerity into this song.
We haven't always been a group.
We were always solo singers.
But now we're more than just a group.
We're a family.
We're all dedicating this to Uncle Bill.
It's [C#m] time.
The theme this week is [F#] big band.
But I chose country song because, you know,
their roots are [B] always in country.
We're gonna nail it.
We've got a lot riding on this performance.
Tonight we're gonna show [F#] Americans why we deserve to win.
