Hi, my name is Chris from Elevation Worship,
and I wanna show you how to play the song
Resurrecting on the acoustic guitar.
So it's in the key of C sharp,
and I've got my capo on the first fret,
so I'm gonna be playing with C shapes.
As far as chords go, it's pretty simple.
[Gb] There's not many of them for the song itself.
The intro and verse just go F, A [Ab] minor seven,
and G for the most part, that's it.
I'm gonna use an F two chord,
so which means I've got my F chord right here,
my [Gb] thumb wrapped to hit my bass note,
[Db] and then I'm gonna leave the G string open,
and then A minor [Bbm] seven,
and then I'm gonna [C] actually do a G [Eb] suspension.
[Ab] So these two fingers here on the G notes
with my pointer finger on the first fret of the B [Ab] string,
so it makes it a G suspended chord.
So it's like this.
[Db] [Bbm]
[Ab] ♪ The head [Db] that once [Bbm] was crowned [Ab] with thorns ♪

Right there, I'm just gonna go to a C chord.

So your verse progression, just one more time,
through that section is just F, [Bbm] A [Ab] minor, G suspended,
is [Db] crowned with F to the C chord.
So that's your verse.
So heading [Gb] into the chorus now,
[B] it's just got three chords for this [Db] chorus,
and they are F, that F two again,
and then a C, and then the G [Ab] suspended
that I showed you a minute ago.
And the only difference between the C in the verse
and the C in this chorus that I'm doing is,
this C, I wanted it to be a little bit [A] fuller sound.
So I'm [Db] just playing a C over G, really.
So I've got my pinky finger here on the C note,
A string, third fret,
and then I just bring my ring [Ab] finger
on the third fret, E string,
[Abm] to make the, that's the G note right there.
So it just gives it a [Db] fuller sound.
