[E] Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and [Am] is and is to come.
[G] My name is David Wesley and thank you so much [C] for checking out Virtual Choir number [G] 12, Revelation Song.
And thanks so much to Jenny Lee Riddle [D] for providing us with such an amazing worship song.
It's one of my favorites.
[Am] This project has been in the works for over a [C] year.
It was last spring that I first contacted our [D] amazing cellist, [G] Elijah DeLamotte,
about joining me for a pretty [D] unconventional project for a classically trained musician.
Elijah is [Am] a 16-year-old pre-college [C] student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music,
and I knew that anything I could write would be child's play [G] compared to some of the things that I heard him play.
He's impressed the [Bm] likes of Simon Cowell on [D] America's Got Talent,
and he really is somebody that [Am] you should watch out for.
You see, Revelation Song has [C] a deceptively simple structure.
It has just four chords repeated in the same [G] order again and again and again throughout the whole song without interruption.
[D] Yet within this simple structure, as I hope you [Am] discover today,
there is a lot of room to [C] create some very special and unexpected musical moments.
I wrote out 24 [G] of these four-bar loops for Elijah to record in his [D] characteristically passionate style,
and I used these recordings [Am] as like [F#m] a deck of cards,
[C] shuffling them in different combinations until we reached the form that you saw today.
We were joined [G] by 120 singers and sign language interpreters from 29 countries around the world.
Men, [D] women, boys, and girls from the age of four to [Am] probably 74.
And [C] this choir robed in white is just a foretaste of what it will be like to sing with [G] brothers and sisters from every tribe, tongue, and [D] nation
as we worship the Lamb who was slain at the throne.
[Am] This project was made possible by my patrons on Patreon.
[C] Without them, it would not be possible.
I want to give a special [G] thanks to Marsha Hansen, Tim Keller, Tom McSherry, David [D] Westfall,
Amy Walker, Keidan Maxfield, Wayne O'Garini, [Am] Susan Hewitt, Bill Heller, Billy, Tom Collins, [C] Claire Daniels,
Timothy Trecko, Liz Dyson, Chism and Chica, [G] Craig Nelson, Claudette Collins, The Gomez Family,
Jay Hudlow, [D] Valerie James, Petro Prostatsky, Rachel Durand, [Am] Cindy Pritchard, Kevin Semenyuk, Rebecca Turner,
[C] Kim Geiger, Laura Smale, Jerry, Bill Regan, Marla Stevenson, [G] J.L. Conrad, William Tanis,
Wesley Haufenbein, and Emmanuel [D] Lohanga.
Again, thank you so much to my patrons and for [Am] all the choir members.
I really hope that you enjoyed this small [C] taste of heaven.
