[Em] [D] With a worldwide [A] following [G] Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band makes friends and fans everywhere
It goes and luckily for us.
They're here this morning, and we welcome the Reverend
We got washboard breezy and cuz behind me.
How y'all doing today?
Excellent, I do it well Reverend.
I've got to ask you about the name real quick.
Where does that originate from?
The Big Damn Band well you sound Reverend and yeah, it's a well.
There's maybe a little bit of irony in there gotcha
Maybe not that big of a yeah, we see that we sound big
[N] We're small in numbers.
We make up for in sound okay.
I got a washboard breezy real quick
Where do you get your name from washboard breezy?
I come from a family of washboard players.
Oh you do
I mean breezy is my real name, but
I've been playing the washboard for about 10 years or so awesome in such a unique sound to do you know many bands that use
The washboard no thankfully and I suggest no one start
I'm gonna start a band use a washboard all right Reverend now.
What will you be singing for us today?
We're gonna do I think a song that makes sense today
We're gonna sure feels like rain sure feels like rain now
Do you all have a CD out ready to be able to purchase?
Yeah, it's off our latest record the wages the wages now you all also have some big news
Over the next couple months, and I was shocked to hear this
Not because of your musical talent because it's amazing the sound is shocking too because it's beautiful
But the the big venue that you get to perform well
I don't know if we're allowed to say this, but I guess we'll just say
We're playing Bonnaroo this year awesome
Congratulations, I mean how does that make you feel to be able to know that you're playing at Bonnaroo?
Well, it's great.
You know so it's one of the biggest festivals in the world
Yeah, we've been lucky enough.
We played a lot of really cool stuff from the Vans Warped Tour last summer
You know some punk rock festival
You know we have no business as a country blues band ever being a part of it
And you know playing stuff like Austin City Limits Fest and you know a lot of cool things
We've been really lucky now listening to your music you have a very eclectic sound very unique
Is that what you originally wanted to hope for in the beginning?
Yeah?
I've always just played stuff
I thought was cool.
I hope other people liked it.
It's catchy.
I have to admit I mean
I just want to run out of your way so you can start seeing because I got to hear them beforehand and you know we've
A lot of bands come through here.
I have to admit a lot of big names, too
And not often does it catch my ear have to admit not that doesn't really says much
But it does today at least we hope here's so I look at some more information if you'd like to check out
Reverend Peyton's Big Dan Band, it's Big Dan Band calm very catchy.
How could you ever forget that name and here they are?
