Rex Orange County [Eb] sometimes plays full chords and sometimes play single notes.
So [F] sometimes he plays a chord like this

He uses his fingers.
I like to use a pick, but that's totally fine totally up to you
so then there's another thing that's really typical of Rex Orange County's play style and that's
this _ _ and what I mean by that is that he sometimes plays a chord and

_ [Ab] _ He he mutes the chord really after a few seconds by
_ palm hitting [F] the strings really

[F] _ _ _ [Eb] This thing you can hear it very clear.
He also used this technique in Corduroy dreams, but you can do it by simply just
placing your hand on your guitar when you're using a pick you [A] can do it like this and
_ when you're using your fingers you can _ _

[N] To really hit the strings and get this
Bok sound I don't know how to name it, but you know what I mean
That's how to create a sound which is quite lovely which is something extra Rex Orange County as to his play style
Yeah, there are a few similarities with Corduroy dreams in this song as you probably noticed and [G] there's also this thing where he does this

There's probably a very technical word for it, but I don't know what it is so I call it palm mute hit
