[Am]
[C] [G]
[C] Listen to the rhythm [F] of the falling rain [C] Telling me just what a fool [G] I've been
[C] Wish that it would go and let [F] me cry in vain [C] And let me [G] be alone
The only girl I care [F] about has gone away [C] Looking for a brand [G] new start
[C] But little does she know that [F] when she left that day
[C] Along with [G] her she took [C] my heart
[F] Rain, please tell me [Em] now, does that seem fair?
[Dm] For her to steal my heart [C] away when she don't care
[Am] I'll amplify another [Dm] with my heart [G] somewhere [C] far away
[G]
[C] The only girl I care [F] about has gone away [C] Looking for a brand [G] new start
[C] But little does she know that [F] when she left that day
[C] Along [G] with her she took [C] my heart
[F]
[C] [G]
[C] [F]
[C] [G] [C]
[F] Rain, won't you tell her [Em] that I love her so?
[Dm] Please ask the sun to [C] set her heart aglow [Am] Rain in her heart and [Dm] let the love [G] we knew
[C] start to grow
[G]
[C] Listen to the rhythm [F] of the falling rain [C] Telling me just what a [G] fool I've been
[C] I wish that it would go and [F] let me cry in vain [C] And let me [G] be alone [C] again
[G] [C] Oh, listen [Am] to the falling rain
[C] Pitter patter, [Am] pitter patter Oh, [C] listen to the, listen [Am] to the falling rain
[C] Pitter patter, [Am] pitter patter
It's so sad!
Just makes me want to go walk in the rain.
Okay, this drum.
It's a fan's drum.
What I'm doing is the first, I'm using all my fingers
for virtually the entire song, but not necessarily strongly.
It's not a boisterous thing, it's just I want a full sound.
But I'm making a different kind of a stroke on the second down stroke.
Here's what I'm doing.
See that second one, I'm starting, I'm leading with my pinky.
Some people do it the opposite direction.
Whoops.
I find that clumsier, so I lead with my pinky.
Some people lead with their index finger and go [Ab] across.
That's a more traditional [C] flamenco style.
I find it easier to lead with my pinky, so that's what I do.
Like that.
So it's down, fan.
Right?
You can practice the fan just like that, right?
Just stick your pinky out a little earlier and take longer
to put all your fingers across instead of just like that,
as if it were one finger.
That's this drum throughout the entire song.
And I think there's nothing else to talk about this.
This is a simple enough [G] song.
I'm going to do a slow motion close-up play along.
If you're having trouble with chord transitions with this drum,
that'll give you lots of slow motion practice for that.

It's four chords, four measures.
I'm going to do it three times so you can just practice the strum
without having to worry about any place else we are.
