What does an actor look for in a song?

I'd say a singer or a musician might not.
I'm sort of very concerned with words and emotions and [Dm] with the sort of honesty that [G] the song was trying to convey.
_ _ [C] _ I'd [F] say the Jim Webb songs certainly convey that.
Tremendous.

You see, I'm not a trained singer, so [Bb] I do, you know, what's what I can do best, which [Gm] is acting.
So I try [C] not to sing the songs, but more or less to act them out.
I suppose to try and become [Ab] the person [Gb] that is saying the things that the song was trying to say.
