Rivermaya - Himala Guitar Lesson chords
Start Jamming...
Hey guys, my name is David D'Amuzio, and I did a cover of the song Himalaya by the band
River Maya, written by Rico Blanco.
Now I'm going to teach you how to play it.
I have two channels on [G] YouTube, David D'Amuzio Lessons and David D'Amuzio.
So David D'Amuzio Lessons will be just for these guitar lessons.
The chords you're going to need to know for this song are F-sharp minor, [E] G, and D.
And then the bridge is going to be A minor, [G] E minor, to F.
It does a little bit of a key change for the bridge.
So the verses are going to go F-sharp [F#m] minor, [G] G, D.
[D] [G] That's the part where it's just like
[F#m]
[D] [Bm]
[F#m]
[G] [D]
[G] And the strumming pattern can be kind of whatever you want it to be.
I use something to the effect [F#m] of this.
[D]
[F#m] Which is
[G]
[D] Just like that.
[Gm] The chorus is the [A] same exact chords, it just switches [G] the pattern.
So that's going to go D, [D]
to [G] G, to F-sharp [F#m] minor, back [G] to G.
And then repeats again starting on D.
Which is
[G] [D]
[F#m] Back to G.
[D] [B] So that's
[D]
D, [F#m] F-sharp minor,
[G] G, and then back [D] to D.
Alright, [A] so that's the entire chorus.
It ends on [G] the G to the D when you just repeat that same chord pattern.
Which is
He sung, he sang, he might laugh, G, then [D] to D.
The bridge goes A minor, [Am]
[Em] E minor,
[F] to F.
In the cover that I did of this song, I did [A] not do the bridge.
Because the bridge is [G] just kind of a bunch of
Whoa, whoa, whoa, just a [B] bunch of Os and Hoos and Ahs.
So it doesn't really sound good, I don't think, without a full band doing it.
But again, [Am] that's A minor, [Em] to E minor, [F] to F.
