Straight away in this song it's talking about the people that inhabited the land before the white man came along
They're not hiding away from the history of what is now Australian
And who knows what it was called back then, whatever they called the land, I don't know
But they're not shying away from the facts of history
What _ a great start
I would say as well I love his voice
It's very soothing isn't it
And with the gentle music, the didgeridoo, the guitar
It's very soothing, I think that's probably the best way I can put it

This sort of song, it's basically, you know, everyone is Australian
It doesn't matter if you work on the fields, if you're a wife of a farmer
If you're a convict, if you're a free man, whatever, any
It doesn't matter if you're bushy, etc
You are all Australian, right?
And I think a song like this makes me want to be patriotic
I'm not patriotic, or patriotic, patriotic
I'm not, you know, I just realise I'm lucky to be born where I am
But a song like this makes me want to be patriotic
And I don't think we have any songs like this
I don't think we have any songs like this in the UK, I'm welcome to be corrected
But this definitely gives you that sense of pride about where you're from
And I don't [C] necessarily have, I don't have that
I'm just lucky to be where I'm born, you know _ _ _

People from around the world have come to Australia
And when you come to Australia you become Australian
And a part of that society and that life

I don't have that sort of patriotism

And I can appreciate if you guys do
You've got this song, you've got Waltz and we'll tell you what

I think the only song that brings us together
Is maybe Three Lions on a Shirt by Baddiel and Skinner
But not in the same way
I loved it, I absolutely loved it
What a truly magnificent song
