Hi, this is Robin Ford and I'm here in San [G] Diego at Guitar Workshop Plus.
I drove down from home earlier today to be here for a workshop, a little rehearsal, and
then a concert tonight, a jam with two very fine musicians who are here at the workshop.

[N] I've talked a lot about the thing that's in many ways I'm most associated with, which
is [Bm] how to play in kind of more of a jazz kind of a way over basic blues progressions and
also a lot about songwriting, which was one of my favorite [E] subjects.

I [Dm] was [G] [Em] not able to play the things that I was hearing, [N] so I had to make some music with
what I had.
So that's why I really lean into melodies and long notes and stuff and just the way
that note sounds against that chord, it's mother invention was necessity.
I wanted to play some music, and so I tried to do as much as I could with a little.
I think that really is a pretty accurate [A] assessment.
