Jam Along & Learn...
Okay, twice removed from yesterday.
It's going to take a while to get through this song, so I'm just going to
[Em] what I'm using here.
440, A440, a little analog delay,
[D] full tone, full tone digital [A] tape, [Em]
intensity [D#] set at about 1, 2 o'clock,
again.
[E] And the rest, I can't explain that because it's going to take too long.

_ _ Okay, twice removed from yesterday. _ _
_ _ _ _ It's going to take a while to get through this song, so I'm just going to_
_ I'll let you know [Em] what I'm using here.
Obviously I'm using a Strat, tuned straight up 440, A440, a little analog delay, _
_ _ [D] full tone, full tone digital [A] tape, _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _
intensity [D#] set at about 1, 2 o'clock,
and [A] here's the speed again.
[D] _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ And the rest, I can't explain that because it's going to take too long.
This is my third time doing this song.
Anyhow, the main thing you have to know in this song_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Em] There's a couple things you need to [F] know.
First of all, hold the tremolo, the vibrato bar, this is the way I hold it,
between [G#] my _ little finger [G] and my ring finger.
_ You right-handed players, I don't know why the hell you play right-handed,
it's so easy to play left-handed.
Go into music, there's free guitars there, you can give them away. _
Anyhow, that's the [F#] way I do it.
You can hold it any way you want, it doesn't matter.
It's very important to use that.
The other thing that is very important is to let the _ open E and the open B ring,
and the G string changes, but this _ [A#] chord_
_ [E] _ _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ You can hear me with [F#m] the [E] vibrato. _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ That's the way it goes throughout the whole song.
I'm playing it on the neck pickup, by the way.
Here we go.
_ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ [B] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _
_ _ [D#] _ _ _ The D string does not [Em] sound.
You have to use this portion of your [F#] first finger here, [A#] the very tip,
[F#] _
the butt up [Am] against the D. _ _ _
[A#] It doesn't [E] sound. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
It's dead, okay?
So, _ throughout the whole song, okay?
Well, this chord at least. _ _ _
_ [Bm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
You've got to have the E string, the E string [Gm] and the B string, [E] and the G string,
but the E and the B have to ring.
That's very important in the song, and so is the vibrato.
_ If you don't have one, don't worry about it. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ [B] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ That's the only time [Gm] you can use the open E when you're on this chord.
I'm using this as a root, _ [F] _
my_
It would be a ring finger for you guys.
_ [E] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _
_ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [B] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [E]
Okay.
_ _ _ [G#] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ Here's a [D] F, F, F.
[F#] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] This is a Hendrix chord.
[F#] _ _ [D#m] _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ Open E.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [F#] _ _ _ Now we're going to go to octaves.
I'm going to try it one more time.
I still got time left.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [F#] _ _
_ _ _ _ [D] _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ Okay, here comes the part, the lead in, the [D] intro for the solo, the lead in.
I'm not [G] going to play the solo.
That would take too long.
_ [E] _ _
_ So it's G string on the fourth fret and the D string on the sixth fret. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ Here's the open E if you want to.
It's kind of tough to do them all at once unless you use the _ A. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [C#m] _ So [Gm] that you_
The G string on the fourth fret, the D string on the sixth [E] fret.
_ [B] Hook them both and then [E] hammer your pinky.
I'm sorry, your little finger.
Yeah, same thing, right? _
_ _ [C#] _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ [Bm] _
_ _ _ _ [C] Right about there.
[Bm] _
_ We're going to octaves.
So this is the D string, then the A string and the D string.
_ [F#] _
_ _ _ [B] _ _ [C#] _ _ _
[G#] _ _ _ _ [F#] _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [C#] _ _
_ [A#] _ _ _ [G#] _ That's the A and the D string.
_ _ [G] _ _ That's a G.
_ _ [B] _ _ [F#] F sharp. _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [C#] _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ [F#] _
_ [D] _ _ _ [C#] _ _ _ _
_ _ [G#] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
[A] _ _ [B] _ _ [F#] _ _ _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Bm] _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _
_ _ _ _ [B] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ I hope I covered everything.
_ It's [N] an easy song to play.
God knows it's not an easy song to write.
Damn, that guy is_
_ He was just born with it, I'll tell you.
Ow, another dent.
Oh well, he's a shimmy.
_ _ He was just born with it.
Thanks guys
