[E] [Gb] Welcome to this [Ab] classic Axe [E] song.
This was one of the first songs I could really play I considered well on the guitar.
[Abm] It has a lot of palm muting in it, so you want to be proficient in palm muting and it's
a good way to [E] practice it.
So to start out with, I've got kind of a chorus-y, real saturated tone going and we're just going
to hit an E, [Gb] then go down to a D, and these are just power [D] chords.
[B] You can pedal [Ab] on that fifth string so [D] you've got this.
Then you go to your [B] B, [Ab] so you're going to hit your B [B] root note twice and then the chord.
[E] Same when you do [C] the C, [D] up to the D, [Gb] then you're going to come all the way [G] up to an
F.
[Db] [E] Just slide your fifth finger down, okay, [G] so you've got [E] that's going from an F to [Em] actually
a D, [D] [E]
but it's quicker.
[D] This would be a D chord, [E] okay, but you're just sliding your fifth finger down from [G] the
tenth fret to the ninth fret.
[D] [E] Another way is to go from the G [Gb] to an [G] F sharp.
[Gb] And [Abm] I did that in the intro.
I'm not 100% sure exactly what he's doing because it happens pretty fast, so you can
figure it out, whatever works way best for you, but I think it's going to [G] the D.
[E]
[D]
[B] [C]
[E] [B]
[E] [Gb] So it's your choice.
Both sound [E] fine.
Do whatever feels [Db] comfortable to you.
So [E] when we're doing this, we [B] want to hit this B note twice and then the chord.
[D] Then you do the C note [C] twice.
[E] Then you're just doing a [D] regular D.
[G]
[E] [B] So you have this.
[E]
[Abm] Okay, so that is basically the chorus [Ab] and the intro.
When they get into the verse, what [E] they're doing is going from an E up [A] to a G and back to [E] D.

[B]
[E] Okay, so you can see how the song all fits [Ab] together and they play [Abm] the rhythm just a little bit different.
Sometimes they're playing more of the [Ab] chords, some they're palm muting.
So I think it's a good [Abm] song to listen to and [Gb] practice that with it.
Okay, there is a break there and they do this really cool little lick.
It [Ab] sounds like this.
[Ab] [E] [B]
[C] [G] [E] [Em]
[Db] [Gb] To start that lick, what you do is when they're ready to [E] come in, he's going to push up the
third string at 19 while the small finger [Abm] is holding down the second string [C] at 20.
[A] Then you slide that [E] down and you go to [E] the second fret and you're just going to push
up [Gb] that second fret third [A] string and push that up while [Db] hitting the second string.
[Ab]
Then just move it up to the fourth fret [E]
and it feeds [Gb] back a little bit.
Then they [B] come back in with the rhythm
[E] in [Em]
this little lick.
[E] Just walking up the scale so we [Abm] can slide on the twelfth fret to 14 on the fifth string.
Then we're going to come down to 12 and 14 on the fourth, [E] 12 on the third, [Em] [Gb] back to 14 on the fourth.
[Bm] [Em]
[D] There's [Abm] another lick they do that he's going to push up that third [E] string.
He hit 15 on the [G] second string.
[Em] One other lick they do in the song.
[E] [B]
[Abm] He's hitting 14 on the fifth to 12 on the fourth to [E] third and then back to the fourth string at [Em] 14.
[E] [G]
[Ab] You can kind of hit [E] that release and stay.
[B] [Gb] Practice those kind of [Abm] licks.
You can play around with that E [Gb] minor pentatonic and do some cool licks with that song.
Pretty simple, but man it's a fun song to play.
I hope you [N] guys enjoy.
