against the British occupancy

leaders of the rebellion were condemned to death
one man in particular
Joseph Plunkett who was one of the leaders when he was in prison asked for special permission if he could marry his sweetheart
childhood sweetheart Grace Gifford
permission was given
[D] But only under supervision of armed guards and they were only given 15 minutes to get married
The next day Joseph Plunkett was taken out and shot
Mary Gifford never Grace Gifford never married again.
She died in
