Hello, my name is Rudy Rosa.
I'm an organist keyboard player from Bradenton, Florida
And I thought you folks out there that are into this kind of thing might be [F] interested in this system that I play
It's a keyboard system that I designed and built.
I've designed a lot of systems over the years.
This is the
latest of my
creations as
An organist way back [N] when I started out with a b3 Hammond organ
B3 is a wonderful organ
Then I graduated to the x66 Hammond and then as technology advanced over the years
I had to get into the new stuff and that's what this system up here is comprised [G#] of
Bottom line it looks like an organ [F#] because once again, I am an [E] organist and I have to play it
Like an organ meaning kicking pedals down on the bottom the bass and the keyboards in front of me
So but by no means is it an organ it may look like one but it's really a digital sampling keyboard system
So it looks like an x66 [G#] or at least some of the designs.
I kind of copied some [F] of the designs
Mainly the pedestals.
There's an x66 now.
My wife is panning [F#] in on I
[E] Actually found that one on [F#] eBay had to buy it just for nostalgic [Fm] reasons.
It's not the original I played but [E] it's the same model
So now as you can see with the legs and so forth that it is kind of a you know designed after that
organ the x66
What they can keyboards consist of up here on the top the [N] first keyboard.
This one is a tyros to Yamaha
It's one of the later keyboards out there
so that's a beautiful keyboard is not only the
Sampler that it is but it's also I use it as a controller MIDI controller
The middle keyboard is an xk3 Hammond
It's a wannabe b3
So it's a clone of a b3.
But of course the b3
No one will ever replace that but it's a it's a close, you know
copy
So it still has the advantage of the drawbars and it's got some pretty fat organ sounds [F#] simulated Leslie sounds
[B] So like this the organ
[G#m]
[Am] [D] [E]
[F] [F#] [G]
[A#m] [A] [Dm]
The
[C#]
[G#m] Bottom keyboard is a [N] Yamaha
DX 7 FD to
That keyboard has got some miles on it's an older vintage keyboard
I like it very much for two reasons that layers into my other system here physically better than a
Keyboard like this top and it has all the
Buttons and everything out here.
Whereas this one I can layer it in tighter
So I don't have to be reaching four feet across the room to reach the keyboards and what it's also special about this keyboard
it has one of the greatest roads fender road sound so this is [C] the
Road sound on the DX [Dm] 7 that I like
[C#] You
[N]
[C#m] [Dm]
And then of course they are controllers like I say MIDI controllers
So they talk to the other keyboards that are around me
I have three other keyboards if you notice over here on my right or my left rather
This is a Korg
PA-80 so it's a Korg product
It has some great string sounds [G] and horns and whatnot.
I can [N] play that from these three keyboards
I can switch them between and then behind me.
I have a KN 6000 technique keyboard
And then over here is another vintage keyboard
Another Korg unit.
It's a t3
So I get a little bit of the old technology and some of the newer stuff and the combination is very nice
So as an example, if you heard the song I recorded on YouTube called it's magic
The strings were actually all coming off of [F] this keyboard over here, [B] so
[C]
[G] But I can play that keyboard from over here
[C]
[Em] [Am]
[B] [Dm]
[D]
[Fm] And the
KN 6000 it is behind me there.
That's a great keyboard for
Human voices [G] as an example.
I get some real nice sounds there
[C]
[B]
[D] [C]
[B]
So the whole system together they complement one another very nicely
Now my seat here.
I'm sitting on two Macintosh [D#] 2300 power amps
These are also
From the [F] 70s actually I love those power amps up and rebuilding them for years
[E] I'm afraid to get rid of them because I haven't seen anything on the market that's any better than those if you remember the
[A] band the Grateful Dead
They used these power amps exclusively in fact
I understand that they had like 25 of these [E] on stage when they did their live performances
So they're [F] a great power amp each one of them are capable of 600 watts output
Behind me is my speaker system.
It's one big unit and
It has actually two electro voice systems in it EVs three ways
So it's got two three-way speaker systems in there, and it [A] also has a three-way JBL system
So there's a total of actually four 15s
six horns plus the mid ranges
So it's a [F#] gives it a pretty full sound
So that's the system.
I hope you enjoyed the little explanation of what it is
I'm kind of new to uploading music to YouTube so
It's been I'm kind of a slow learner in this high-tech stuff
So I had to ask my six-year-old granddaughter
To help me put this stuff together on [E] YouTube
She's very patient, so I'm just kidding about that, but I hope to do a lot more as time permits
[F] So hope you're enjoying my music and hope this was somewhat
Informative, thank you very much and keep playing those keyboards
