We were so creative, we were so excited that we wrote fantastic stuff and also recorded
here and _ _ coming out now with this album.
And of course, Return to Forever means now the Scorpions will stay forever. _

_ _ [C] _ _ _ We [Em] have next year 50 years.
It's the 50th [D] [B] anniversary.
It [Am] was hard to believe.

_ [A] _ _ _ [D] _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
[F#m] The album title _ [C#m] was [D] suggested by a friend of ours.
_ [A] _ _ _ [D] _
And [A] it's very significant because [G] it basically means here [F#m] we are back again, [B] once again,
and there is no end in [A] sight.
So it goes on forever.
And music will live on forever [D] and _ [A] hopefully _ we will be remembered.
Maybe not forever, but for a long time.
I had so many titles and it was like title [C#m] hell.
I think Rudolf called me one [D] day and he said [F#m] he had a conversation with Willi [A] Ehmann from
Sony Music and I think he brought it [D] up.
There is no song with that [B] title on the album, but _ [D] _ [E] reflecting [F] what we've been through in
the last couple of [E] years, _ [F#m] all of us thought it would be a nice title.
[D] Explain it where we're at [A] right now.
_ [D] The pipeline, we had an [A] album already [G] started called Bonus Tracks.
So [F#m] this album [D] _ [B] was [E] done, not finished, but [F#m] it was somehow already [C#m] there.
We [D] said, okay, then [B] let's listen what we [A] have.
And we [D] were listening here in the [A] studio and we were [G] surprised.
We said, that's fantastic [F#m] stuff.
Amazing.
[B] And we called it, [E] as a working title, we called [C#] it Outtakes.
Because they were [Fm] outtakes from some [F#m] time back.
And with this Outtakes [B] project _ going back to the 80s, [D] we had some material sitting there,
but there's [F] also some new stuff and some songs _ _ [Am] that were written in [Em] 2014.
So _ [F] it [C] just showed there's still [F] so much [C] passion about [A#] what we do.

[C] _ _ _ _ _ [G] You know, [D] when I started making music or playing guitar, [C] I never thought about, you know, a
record deal, making a [D] record, _ _ [G] having a management, you know, [Em] traveling the world.
I didn't think that way.
I just thought, you know, I [G] felt how _ important music was to me [Em] and how much I love playing guitar.
In a [E] way, this whole project [Am] _ [D] showed us that there is still so much life in [Em] this band.
There is still [C] some gas in the tank.
[G] And the best part of it [D] is that we wrote some new [Em] songs. _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Em] It was about that.
You [C] know, we had Katja von [D] Garnier, who is the director _ for our movie, [Em] Forever in the Day,
[E] _
[C] which will be out in February.
[D] _ _ That was the experience on this [Em] farewell tour.
_ [E] _ _
[C] _ Until the [D] very end, _ _ when we played a show in Munich, [Em] and we were really with [C] all the
ups and downs.
So there were those [D] moments.
And so, at the end of 2012, you know, [A] we were _ proud.
We were still standing [F] _ [Fm] strong, you know, and reaching the finish line.
[G#] And [D#]
after that, we thought, so let's see what [Fm] life will bring.
The producer, _ _ [D#] _ Katja von Garnier, she [Fm] was very sensitive.
And she, I think, did a very good job by [G#] really getting [D#] _
the _ sight behind the [A#m] face, the soul
of [Fm] the Scorpions.
And that's [C#] what she did.
And [D#] I think in the end, the camera became a part of us.
_ _ _ [Fm] _ _
_ [C#] _ _ _ _ [D#] _ _ _
_ [Fm] Everybody thought this would be [C#] the last show.
_ _ [D#] So did the film team and the director.
But [Fm] we rewrote the script, [C#] so to speak, because [Fm] _ the career didn't finish.
We didn't finish making music.
They had to rewrite [C#]
the [D#] grand finale of that movie, because it was not everybody's in tears.
[C#] The Scorpions are the last time on stage. _ _
It's something [C] we believed for a little while, so to speak, that this could happen.
But [F] I think _ [Fm] _ instinctively, everybody knew this can't be the end. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
