Hi, I'm Steve welcome to my barn
I swear a few months ago, and I don't think any of us could ever imagine like I would be like now in the world
It's a strange
strange thing strange times strange times
But you know fortunes can change and things can change and I hope you're [N] all safe and taking care of yourself
but I wanted to
tell you about my
Talking about fortunes can change
Another man's junk is another man's treasure
I'm not gonna get too much into the story of this guitar
But my buddy Sherman down [G] in North, Mississippi bought it up in
Senatobia at a junk store.
We called a goodwill
I
Got it from him and
Then year a couple years.
I don't know how many years later
This guitar changed my whole life and from just
Really not doing anything and not doing very well and stuff to get to play [G#] this guitar on the Jules [A] Holland
And it's just an old cheap Japanese guitar
And it my friend Sherman found it all had these three strings on it or not exact one
But that's where they was so there's three strings, and they all in the wrong place
so
You know when they called me to play on that Jules Holland show they wanted me to play the song
Doghouse boogie that I made on this
Guitar I never [G] really thought about that was ever gonna be playing it for serious.
I just kind of got it as a joke
But it changed my whole life
So this guitar
some true mojo
But the first song I ever made on is this song called cut my wings
And it's about being locked up
Maybe not like people locked up now, but you know
It's about being locked up anyway and not having your freedom
And I guess there's a lot of people right now in that situation
[N] So I thought I'd just you know play that for y'all dedicate to everybody locks that step stuck at home and things like that
and
When I wrote it
This is a guitar pickup and you let some of you probably already know that that's where the music comes through there
It goes to the amplifier, but it didn't have one of those then just had a big hole there
So I wrote it with no amplifier
So I'm gonna play it for you like that too
Anyways, I hope you like it
