[N] I'm Shaky Graves from Austin, Texas.
We're in beautiful Austin, Texas in the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
And South by Southwest is raging that way.
I was sort of a bedroom recording person.
I made this album over the course of like three years that I really love.
And then I'd try and take it out and just play an acoustic guitar.
And you know, you can't walk into a room and be like,
Shut up, I have an acoustic guitar.
So, you know, I've been singing with a girl named Esme,
who's from Denver, Colorado.
Her and I started writing some songs together.
And it's sort of simple, jaunty, sort of 50s to 70s country music.
Surprisingly, it wasn't the intention either.
But, you know, I love harmonies.
I've never done that live.
Just expanding the set.
I think what's next is my trip-hop career.
And then, you know, who knows?
Jazz metal.
[G] [F] [F#] [G]
[F] Oh.
Oh.
[F#] [G]
[Em] [C] [F#] [G]
Oh.
[Em] [C] [G]
Well, you [Em] and I both know [C] that the [G] house is haunted.
[F#] [G]
[Em] And you and I both know [C] that the ghost is [F#] me.
[G]
Music gets [Em] me in your bed sheets.
[C] Just a [G] rattle in your [F#m] chains.
[G]
Well, back then, [D] baby, it didn't seem so strange.
[C] I used to buy, I [Gm] used to [F#] moan
[G] [D]
[C] Without my [G] head you'd choke
[D]
Well I [C] ain't too scary on [G] my own
Tell me honey [C#] what's a [C] deadloat?
[A] I don't know
[Fm] [G] Cause you [Em] and I both know [C] [G] how she's haunting
Yeah you [Em] and I both know [C] that the [G] ghost is [F#] me
[G]
[A] Used to trust [Em] me, now that she's [C] just a [G] rattle in your chains
[D] Well back then baby, it didn't seem so strange
In the [C] midnight hour you [G] came [F#] alive
I [D]
[C] had to go get my crystal [Gm] ball
Gotta find that snake
[D] When the sun [C] came up, couldn't [G] find no place to hide
[D]
[F#] And you had to tell your friends that my things were fake?
I had to
That's so [G] mean
Cause you [Em] and I both know [C] how [G] she's [F#] haunting
[G]
[Em] Yeah you and I both know [C] that the [G] ghost is me
[D] Used to catch me in your bed, she's just a rattle in your chains
Well back then baby, it didn't seem so [Am] strange
But even when one [Gm] is [D] dead and [A] gone
Still takes two [D] to [Gm] make a [D] house a home
I'm [A]
as lonesome [D] as the catacombs
I [C] hear you call my name but no one's there
[D] Except a feeling in the air
[N] Cause you and I both know that the house is haunted
Yeah you and I both know that the ghost is you
Used to walk around screaming while slamming all them doors
[D] Well I'm all grown up now, I don't scare reason no [G] more
Cause you and I both know
[Em]
[C] [G] You [F#] and [G] I both [Em] know
[C] [G] [F#] Yeah [G] you and I both [Em] know
[C] [G] [F#] [G] [D]
