piece of wood uh and uh you know [N] playing cricket and he used to hold it as a guitar he said shaggy
sides and i thought that's a wacky name so many many years later after that i thought well i'll
use that so you were the youngest of 13 what what was life like growing up we didn't have much money
i mean they used to get coke off the railway line to put in in the in the fireplaces and stuff like
that but we were happy and it was always music in the house even from a wind-up gramophone everyone
could sing all the sisters and that maybe it was the taff water i don't know but has music always
been important to you number one always always what's your relationship with [B] um face and
spirituality my mother i believe she was a a believer and my grand grandmother she was in the
salvation army for um 80 years she played a squeeze box and people can get [D] the wrong opinion
of the salvation army you know you've seen a christmastime blowing their brass [Ab] instruments
and all that but they do tremendous amount of work in a worldwide what what's your proudest moment
what am i proud of [D] this moments i would say um it took a long time to happen [Bb] it was getting my number

i remember you performing that on top of the bar do you remember it quite clearly that was my first
video and that was done in uh cambridge it was an old house and we just made it up as we went along
really brought in a couple of farmers the farm that was too far away so we had the uh [E] the dad
and the daughter [Bb] and

[Bb] hearing [Ab] people humming your tunes must be a great feeling
it is a great feeling yeah it's a great feeling this old house and i remember green door

but we had a [Abm] lot of fun with it and uh it went to 22 and straight to number one
merry christmas [G] everyone uh has been [E] in the charts every year since 2007 it is a sort of

i wanted to you know share it with the people out there now you've got two releases that it's
going to be great for the fans what's what's on there absolutely i mean i think this box set is
the biggest thing i've ever done 266 tracks which is quite a lot really isn't it yeah good value
all the singles are on there from from the first hit to the last to the the latest hit i won't say
last because i'm going to continue continue to record and perform
