[F] [Gm]
What's up guys welcome back to [D] Ross Cloud Reactions with your girl Amber and your boy
Jay and today I'm super super super excited for so many reasons but I'll start off with
the first one which is it's female Friday.
It's female Friday guys one of our favorite days of the week and we [E] are so happy you guys
are back to join us.
[G#] If you're new here hey go ahead and smash that subscribe button and hit the post [N] notification
bell because we drop videos every single day but I'm super excited to figure out who
we're going to listen to today because on female Fridays I find out with you guys but
babe drop it on us let us know.
Hey you guys know I can't stay away for long.
You guys know me so well at this point you're going to probably like already know who it
is because it's my favorite artist ever on the channel Janice Joplin.
I was literally just about to say it's got to be Janice Joplin.
That's a sick shirt.
Show off your shirt.
I wore it today just because I knew that I was going to pull out my Janice and I wanted
to represent her with this beautiful shirt.
We listened to her but everybody on every Janice Joplin video has told me that I need
to listen to me and Bobby McGee.
A lot of people said it's their favorite Janice Joplin song so I'm super super excited.
I don't know my favorite I mean Janice seems like in every other week you know female Friday artist now.
Sorry.
Like my favorite is the Raise Your Hand with her and Tom Jones.
That one was fun.
That was my absolute favorite one but let's go ahead and see what we're about to get into.
I mean it's Janice so I know it's going to be absolutely amazing.
Y'all I'm trying not to cheese so big right now because I'm super I'm super super excited for this.
All right let's go ahead and get into it Janice Joplin the one and only [G] and the song is Me
and Bobby McGee.
Let's get it.
[C] [G]
Busted flat in Baton Rouge waiting for a train and I was feeling as faded as [D] my jeans.
Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained and rode us all the [A] way to New Orleans.
I pulled my harpoon out of my dirty red bandana.
I was playing soft while Bobby sang [C] the blues.
Windshield wipers slapping time [G] I was holding Bobby's candy man.
[D] We sang every song that daddy knew.
[C] Freedom is just another word [G] for nothing left to lose.
[D] Nothing, I mean nothing honey if [G] it ain't free.
[C] Feeling good was easy when he sang the blues.
[D] Feeling good was good enough for me.
Good enough for me and my [G] Bobby.
[A]
From the Kentucky coal mine to the California sun.
Hey Bobby shared the secrets [E] of my soul.
Through all kinds of weather through everything we've done.
Hey Bobby baby kept me [A] from the cold.
[N] In this song like way more than others like I feel like you really hear like her kind of southern accent.
I was gonna say that this is the most western-y song.
It's western and blues to me at the same time but I've never heard her really sing with this kind of twang to it.
Exactly it's got like a little southern accent to it.
Yeah and she's more so doing a little bit of storytelling in this song than the other ones where she was just vocalizing it all the way out.
The other ones were like power on 100.
Yeah but on this one as you get to I don't know it's a softer fun side of Janice that I haven't and the songs I have gotten to haven't besides Raise Your Hand.
Right.
Besides Raise Your Hand I haven't gotten that from so I really enjoy it so far it's just different than the other Janice's that we've the other Janice's songs that we've heard.
This one's like more kind of the mellow kind of down to earth Janice than the other ones we've heard let's get back to it. [E] Yeah.
[A] [E]
[A]
[D]
[E]
[D] [A]
[E] [A]
[D] But a feeling good was easy [A] now when he sang the blues.
[E] A feeling good was good enough for me.
Good enough for me and my [A] baby yeah.
La la [E] [A] [E]
la.
[E]
[B] [A] Oh wow that's so nice.
[E]
[A]
[Am] [Em]
[E]
[E] [A] Okay,
[N] we were just talking about how this was like slower and this was just like
Why am I still bothering my hair?
Because Janice does that to you.
We were talking about how this one was more mellow, but you know Janice can't just do mellow.
Janice has to show off that beautiful, gorgeous voice. That range.
That range she has.
And that gritty range that she has.
She pulled it out.
I mean, right there.
I mean, you heard it.
And I'm here for it.
I'm here for anything that Janice does.
This is what we've been waiting on.
Right.
But it wasn't like, I was like, when's it going to start?
Because I really did enjoy what she was doing at the beginning too.
But this is what made me fall in love with Janice.
Yeah, at some point you were like, you know it's coming.
It's like, when?
I knew my [A] girl wouldn't hold out on me.
Exactly.
[E]
You know.
[A]
[E]
What is that?
[F#m] [E]
[B] [A] Wow.
I just hate it when her songs end.
[N] Wow.
I wanted it to go forever.
You knew Janice was going to come out.
It was just like a matter of time when.
Before she bailed out. Yes.
And then it absolutely came full force.
I guess this song, like the Southern Girl in Me, really absolutely adored it and loved
it because it did have a little bit of a Southerness to it.
A little bit of country western to it.
And then it was also at the same time a song that just made you want to dance.
Yes.
The sound was amazing.
And I fell in love with Janice on a song that was, you know, just a little bit deeper.
It was pretty emotional.
And to me, it was just a little bit.
It brought me to tears.
But I've grown to see all these different sides of Janice.
And I'm loving this side also.
I love that she did start off a little bit.
A little bit softer.
A little bit softer.
And then she [F] really just showed out at the end.
There's nothing about Janice Joplin [N] that I do not love.
But that song is definitely going on the playlist.
I love me and Bobby McGee.
Guys, Amber has got a Janice playlist from the songs that we've reacted to.
So keep piling them up in those comments.
Is there?
Yeah, this is one of the most requested ones.
So you guys are going to have to pull something else out for me now.
And I can't go without Janice Joplin for long.
So pull something else out.
You've worn a Janice shirt like the past three days in a row.
She drinks out of her Janice mug every single night.
Team Janice.
You're making me sound like super obsessed, which I will go ahead and admit.
I am obsessed.
But guys, thank you so, so much for coming back for another Female Friday video.
As we always send you guys out with, we love you.
We thank you.
We appreciate you.
You are blessed.
And for you new subscribers, you've got to go every single day.
Babe, remind them of that goal.
Make somebody smile.
That is to make somebody smile.
We'll see you [C] guys later.
