She's Everything - Brad Paisley - Guitar Lesson with Solo chords
Start Jamming...
She's Everything is a big hit for Brad Paisley who co-wrote the song along with Will Nance.
The song's on the key of C and as usual with the Brad Paisley song
there's a lot of fun things for us to learn on both guitars.
On the acoustic guitar
we'll be using a number of different techniques.
We'll be picking out what's really the instrumental hook or melody in the intros,
arpeggiating the verses, and then we'll be strumming the choruses.
If you're just trying to sing along with the acoustic part
it would be a challenge in some spots.
We'll also include a
bonus tutorial with the capo on the fifth fret using nice open key of G chords
that will be easy to sing along with.
On the lead guitar we've got tasteful riffs throughout the whole thing.
There's a nice bridge solo and then a great lengthy outro solo, which is of course on the challenging side.

[C] She's the voice I love to hear, someday when I'm high, [Am] she's that wooden rocking chair.
[G] Rocking right beside me,
[F] everyday that passes,
only love her more.
[G] Yeah, she's the one I lay down my arms
Alright, this is a quick bonus tutorial that's really designed as an easy version
or a version for those of you that would like to sing and play this at the same time on the acoustic guitar.
You will be able to play this [C] right along with Brad Paisley's original recording.
We have a capo on the fifth fret and we're going to be using key of G chords.
So the first ones we need are the standard G chord and we've got an [Am] E minor 7.
So that's open low E,
second fret of A, second fret of D, open G, third fret of B, third fret of F, E.
Then we've got a C2, which is [F] third fret of A, second fret of D, open [G] G, third fret of B, third fret of F, E,
into D.
[C] So first we're going to talk about this introduction.
The introductions happen before
verse 1, it happens before verse 2, and it's also the progression
we're going to use for the bridge solo and the outro solo.
It uses just those four chords
and it looks like this.
By the way, with these four chords,
the beautiful thing is, check out the ring finger in particular and the pinky finger too.
[Am]
[G] They're really nice to transition
between, [C] right?
Because that ring finger stays down the whole time.
It's kind of like a pivot.
[Am]
[G] [C] All right, so you can just leave that ring finger down the whole time.
It will make transitioning easier.
All right, so we're gonna start on the G and we can use this drum pattern like this for the intros.
Down, up, down, down, [Am] up, down,
up, down, down, [G] up, down,
up, down.
All right, this tutorial is going to take us through the studio acoustic part for She's Everything.
We're going to start with this intro and outro riff
that we play on the acoustic guitar.
It's kind of a hybrid between playing the chord and
picking [C] out this melody.
It looks like this.
[G] [Am]
[C] [G]
[C] And then that repeats.
So we've really got two different things going on.
We've got the kind of treble part, which is
[G] [Am] [G] [D]
[C] [Em] [C]
[G] [Am] [D]
[G] [C] This tutorial is going to cover the bridge solo for She's Everything.
I'm going to play it nice and slow,
but in tempo.
Then we'll go through it note by [E] note, and then at full speed along with the metronome.
As always, this is all tabbed out right beneath the video player at sixstringcountry.com.
So make sure you pull those up.
That will help a ton.
For tone,
put a ton of gain on there.
Really let it rip.
Drench it in reverb.
A bunch of delay.
Quarter note delay.
We're at 105 BPM approximately.
And that should get you pretty close.
Depending on your guitar,
you'll have to figure out which pickup you want to use.
On this guitar for me, I'm going to use
my bridge pickup.
So here's how it sounds.
[G] [D]
[B] [G] [A]
[Am] [Bm]
[A] All right, the outro solo for She's Everything.
As usual with the Brad Paisley solo, it's on the challenging side, and it's long.
Some really nice riffs in here.
As always, when we challenge ourselves and we stretch ourselves to play something that's hard for us,
it makes us better guitar players.
So stick with it.
Take it nice and slow.
I'll play through it once
in tempo, but slowly.
Then we'll go through it note by note, and then at full speed with the metronome.
