I had just returned from a USO trip [Eb]
with Hillary Clinton to Bosnia and Tuzla.
I'd never been to a war [Bb]-torn area, never seen anything like it.
And when I came home, I sat down to write a song about breaking up with my boyfriend
_ _ and was really frustrated.
I couldn't finish the song, so I just put it away.
And I started typing the lyrics to the song, and it almost came out just [Eb] like top to bottom.
And it was about, you know, why do we go [Db] into war?
What are the reasons that we go in and set up camp in a [Dbm] place where really, I [Ab] mean, we
have no investment except [Gb] for oil there.
[Db] _ So that was really what inspired the song.
And then Johnny Cash cut it after I did, and now [Eb] we're together on it.
And woman, [Bb] _ [Gb] wait, [Eb] what shall we _ _ _ _ _ for [Bb] Redemption Day?
_ _ _ [Gm] I got up at 3.15 this [G] morning, washed my hair, [F] and we got here, we got [Bb] picked up at 4.15
and started shooting around 7.30.
So it's a full day, [F] and thank goodness it's [Bb] not raining.
[Eb] Gorgeous day, we did a beautiful shoot.

I actually know Sean, [Bbm] and I just love him.

I've known Cheryl for a long time, so it's great to be able to work with her [Fm] and be able

I think it's a [Db] really special project, and I'm just honored to be part of it, actually.

And so Riker, our little guy in the video, I think he represents all the young kids and
what they're being exposed to [Gb] right now and what [Gm] it's going to mean for them to finally
