[G] This one is based on a request from one of my subscribers.
It's [N] probably one of the finest theme music in any Hindi film and probably one of the finest by R.D. Burman at least.
And I'm glad somebody asked for it.
So the music, I'll call it the song.
The song is in D major.
And as we've done with the songs, let's first take a look at the chords you need to know.
Then we'll check out the strumming pattern and then we'll play along with the song.
So you need to know D [D] major.
This is D here and we'll be using open chords [G] for most of the song.
You need to [C] know C, [G] _ G, [E] _
[F] F, [E] E [A] and A.
[D] So it's mostly D, [C] [G] C, [F] G, [E] F, [A] E and A.
[C] You also [Dm] need to know D minor and D minor 6.
[E] And you might want to play it over here.
So that [Dm] would be D minor and D minor 6.
_ [N] Now let's check out the strumming pattern.
There are a few variations in the song.
And I'll show you the one which is being used [Ab] most often.
[G] And that would sound like this.

_ _ _ I'll slow down so you can see what I'm doing. _

_ So _ _ _ as you can see there are 3 down strokes followed by 3 up strokes _ and then one more down stroke.
You have to get the timing right so it should sound something like this. _ _ _ _ _

_ _ _ [D] _ _ In the beginning of the song there's an interesting [E] piece and that would sound something like this.

_ _ _ _ _ So what you're doing is you're playing the D chord over here.
And then quickly _ using [E] your pinky or the last finger here to fret the note [D] G.
So it changes from D major to D [G] suspended 4th chord.
[D] And I'll slow it down [Eb] so you can see what I'm doing.
