[D] Take me to church, I've done [A] so many
[Ab]
[G]
[Ab] [F]
[N] I've been really consciously trying to mess with anyone's mind or not
I suppose, you know, with the album cover photos I was definitely trying to get publicity for the album
Like I knew nobody had ever seen me looking like a woman, never mind, you know, a dolled up woman
Nobody had ever seen me looking like a woman at all
And what was that like, that process, because we were always going on about it on Expose
What was that big girly girl process like for you?
Did you enjoy it?
I did but I realised what a complete pain in the butt it would be to keep up Yeah
Do you know what I mean?
It's like, you find, it takes hours to find a decent dress in your wardrobe
You've tried everything on, then you've got to find the right underwear
Or your underwear is sticking out, or the ping, you know, your bra is sticking out here, you can't find a bra
You know, and all sculpting and blah blah blah
I thought, my god, how distressing to have [Dm] to keep that up the whole time
Don't know if I should quite [F] sing this [C] song Don't know if
Despite having [F] a hugely [Gm] successful singing [F] career, Sinead is on the verge [C] of fulfilling a lifetime dream
This is very [Dm] exciting, your son Jake, he's going [F] to become a father
Yeah, in July the baby's coming in.
So how do you feel about that?
You're going to be a very [B] young grandmother.
I'm delighted.
[G] I always wanted to be a [F] granny.
I had a friend who was 37 and he had like four grandchildren by [Bb] 37, so I was [F] pretty jealous of him.
But no, [C] I'm delighted because I've always wanted to be a granny.
It's my only ever dream in life [Bb] actually, is to be a granny.
[F] [C]
And [Am] [Dm] in between touring with the album [F] Sinead is also writing a memoir.
No, I've never written a book before, so from that point of view it's like you don't think you need a memoir.
I suppose the only part that's difficult is you've got to be really disciplined in the work every day.
[Dm] You've got to remember.
How do you remember?
Because sometimes we can't actually trust our memory totally.
Exactly.
That's why I like the idea of a memoir because really it can be how you remember things, which people don't necessarily remember things 100% accurately.
It's how you go about remembering things.
[N] Yeah, there's a 10 year period where I really can't remember a whole lot, so I've had to Google stuff.
Is that even more dangerous than your memory?
[C] No, I've had to Google [Eb] tour dates to some nerdy [F] dude online, thank God, who has a list of every single gig I've ever done in my life.
So by looking at where I was at a certain time I could [C] remember things.
And speaking of tour dates, the next big one here at home is Vicar Street in Dublin on the 8th of April and you can find out [Am] more on [Bb] ticketmaster [F].ie.
