[E] [C] [N] You had the group together for a while and you were in the top 40 and then kind of dropped from sight.
Yeah, it took a while.
What, the group broke up or?
Well we just moved up from Texas.
We originally from Texas and went to San Francisco.
It just takes a little time for us to get together.
Where'd you get the name?
Obviously people immediately, you know, assume that it's English with Sir Douglas.
I did.
Well it's, we just at that time in Texas [E] we just called it Sir Douglas.
[F] And I know [N] people in England, we were in England about that and we wanted it.
Down there you just called it that and it was good.
How'd they react to you over there?
It was great.
Loved it.
I'll go [E] back.
Texas cats arriving on the [G#] English scene, it was well received.
Well it was just, you know, just like, you know, a different [C#] thing.
They hadn't really seen too [F] many Southern, you know, [Bm]
really just different for everybody.
And we enjoyed it because it was so different for us.
[G#m] Eating porridge and going off [N] into places.
Well [E] now that you've got the original group back together [B] again, I wonder if tonight we
could [G] get you to do a number for us. Sure.
We will have to.

Man, he'd come [A] along the way.
I'll play it again.
Like I told you, [D] can't you dig it?
Man, I've seen him.
