[E] Uh, hi!
Hi!
[B] So, um, a couple of nights ago we had a really extreme sort of tour [Bb] experience.
We, uh, [A] had our bus driver who was up in the front lounge doing strange things, [Ab] completely naked,
with [G] battery clamps on his chesty parts and maybe a vibrator or [A] something else.
We don't actually [Eb] fire him.
[D] And that night our starter went out and we ended up at six in the morning [G] coming to fly to Minneapolis
from Chicago.
So imagine waking up at six in the morning going, we have to fly.
And we have to get to O'Hare Airport in about one hour, two hours to [Eb] catch a flight at ten.
Um, [G] which O'Hare, as you know, is a really busy airport.
I [Eb] went through [G] and got my boarding [Gbm] pass.
I saw it [Gm] flip down.
I swear I did, I wasn't [Gb] hallucinating, but now I don't know because I'm lacking sleep for days.
And I saw that the boarding [G] pass come down and grabbed it, went all the way through [B] the security lineup.
I got to the front [A] of TFA and looked at it and [G] it said, I wasn't going to Minneapolis, I [Gb] was going to LaGuardia.
[Cm]
And the name wasn't [Eb] my name.
And so I'm like, and the lady's going, are you having a problem?
And I said, I think I am.
So I had to go back down all the way [Bbm] through and reissue my boarding pass, got [Gb] on the flight.
[Ebm] We got to Minneapolis and [Eb] that night, [Gb] Dustin and I got a little too into the [G] performance.
And we do a thing where I get fed my brains, which is yogurt.
[Ebm] And we [A] were using a metal spoon, big mistake.
[Ab] We had a small, we had a [B] plastic spoon at first.
And of course I'm like, well, that's not going to read.
And so we found a metal [F] spoon.
[Bbm] And then I found a bigger [G] metal spoon, a soup [Eb] spoon.
And I was like, that's the one.
[Gb] And Dustin, [Ebm] I feel so bad [Eb] for him.
He like came [Ebm] on, he like put it in my mouth and I clamped down and he pulled it out before I opened my mouth.
[Gb] And it results in, long story short, [B] that night I was supposed to go to the hospital in Minneapolis.
But I was like, no [E] more hospitals.
[Gb] And we drove down to Kansas City.
I have an old girlfriend who teaches [D] film, who actually is blue in [Gb] Warlock, cyan.
Thank you very [D] much, Lauren.
And [Gb] she is now teaching film.
She's tenured, [Bm] a professor teaching film in [Gbm] Kansas City at the Art Institute.
[G] She drove from Kansas City, took me to her [Gbm] dentist back from Lawrence.
[G] And we had kind of looked online.
They said they could maybe split the four [D] teeth together with some deposits.
And [Eb] when I went to the dentist, he said, well, [Gbm] we can do that.
It might take a lot of [G] time.
And [Eb]
it might still [Abm] hurt.
And [Gb] I was having all this like serious kind of phantom pain from when I broke my jaw a couple of years back.
[Abm] And the pain was the same.
I was in [G] my bunk in Lawrence at about five in the morning.
And I said, I can do [A] this.
And I tried to sing [Ab] something and my [B] teeth started resonating because that's what your mouth does.
And it was just like, [D] ah.
So I had to keep going.
And [Ebm]
so now I'm a mutant [B] up here.
I look like the [Gb] creature from Funhaus.
[G] And then the next couple of nights, I just haven't slept.
So [D] I apologize that I'm not on right now a little bit.
[Ebm] I'm lacking massive amounts of sleep.
But I'm going to [Ab] carry on and carry through.
So thank [Eb] you all for coming out.
I just want to say one more thing.
We've been doing this for four years.
[Ebm] And sometimes I even wonder like [Eb] how the fuck did we get to this place?
[G] Excuse my French, tell everyone.
How the heck did we get to the point [Ebm] of being able to do this for four years?
And [A] it's really because of [Gb] all of you.
And lastly, I want to say thank you very much.
We're a fan-made band and you guys made us who we are.
[Gbm] Thank you.
