_ _ _ _ _ Here we are making a video for Psychosocial _ in lovely Jamaica, Iowa.
Don't know exactly what the whole thing is because I don't know how they put all [F] that shit together, but it'll be cool when it comes together.

This is definitely an [F] expression that you have to live fully [B] through your heart.
_ _ _ [N] _ This kind of stuff can't come to life.
We're in Iowa.
Shooting in Iowa, for anyone who's wondering, is not an easy thing to do. _ _ _ _
_ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ [Bb] _ Everything has to be brought [Eb] in, from the equipment to the cameras to some [D] crew.
And then at the same time, there was a big plus [C] to shooting in Iowa for the sake that there was a lot of abandoned schools,
there were abandoned houses, that a clown actually fell through the [C] stairs when we were doing a photo shoot.
[B] As you know, I'm very paranoid _ after my last little _ stint.
_ So you know, you throw it on there and you're right by that.
[D] Yeah, I know.
So you just need to know that. _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
There was all of these elements that kind of build up to the vibe of everything from the album, so it only made sense to shoot the video there.
_ [B] Depending on how I feel about all the people that are on the payroll, it has nothing to do with the dream, but the dream can't exist without people who are artistic.
[N] _ _ _ _ [C] _
_ _ [Db] _ _ [C] _ Jaron [D] Persant has been my director of photography for a long time. _
_ _ _ Okay, so [Eb] Jaron, you're going to come down here with the [G] phantom, set up a shot.
I'm going to go up there and toss the thing with him.
Cool.
And it can't [E] be wide?
It should be wide.
The hand crank footage throughout is shot on a 35mm hand crank camera, and it's about as old school as you get.
The exact [A] opposite of that is [N] the phantom HD camera that we shot on, that lets us go at 1000 frames a second. _ _ _ _ _ _

There'll be some dust from that glass inside the tube, so try not _ _ _ _

_ [Bb] _ _ _ _ The [C] concept was really to [A] take the old notion of the band and mix it with a new vision and new direction.
_ [B] Then we have these things, these are called purgatory masks.
They represent our egos, because we're rock, buck and stars.
[N] Kahn came up with the concept for the big heads to be [F] the egos of the band.
That they had all just grown completely out of [D] control.
These mountains aren't blip!
This is not chill!
This is like a swimming pool.
_ [Bb] _ This is bullshit.

[F] He's wondering where his trailer is, because he's [A] fucking famous like [Gm] that.
I [C] think I'm going to take this ego and put it on a stick.

[D] It was really important [B] to see them _ shatter and destroy [Bb] those egos. _ _ _ _

Right now we're waiting for the sun to go down. _ _
Me, Sean and [Bm] Paul are ready to lift the prosthetic [B] heads up onto some poles.
Before we pretty much blow this whole field [D] up.
And then, you know, make some little pyro.
Starting a [Ab] field on fire in the middle of [D] nowhere.
Forty miles outside of Des [A] Moines.
It was a good [G] time.
We've [Bb] been called out here by this crazy lady.
She said, [Fm] hey we're shooting a [A] film out here.
Would you mind coming out and [C] standing by with a fire truck?
We've got a 20 [B] foot flame bar here [D] fed by four bottles of propane.
We've got [F] propane bars in the center there for the fire.
We're going to put some pyro fluid on it.
We have a nice big fire for a clown because that's what he wanted.
[Eb] There's nothing better than fire and since [G] none of us have ever really grown up.
We might as well get a permit and do it legally.
[Bb] _ _ _ _
[Db] Yeah!
Fire! _ _ _ _
Standing out [Em] here tonight, [G] kind of watch over things.
Make sure nothing catches on fire [Bb] that shouldn't.
With all [B] luck it won't.
They wanted the nine point star, the three interconnecting triangles
with a [F] circle ditch around it for the fire effects.
And then basically dig the trenches.
_ And now we've been putting in the stakes [B] for the various masks.
One for each of [Eb] the band members and everything will go up in flames.
The fire department is having a blast right now because they're just like driving back and forth.
[F] Got a couple of bonfires set up.
Some propane action. _
We're prepared.
_ What's going on is I'm getting ready [B] to burn an idea [Eb] that I have.
And quite honestly, _ [G] a good day because I've been a collector for later.
_ And I think letting go now of [B] anything that could be _ this [F] self-worth that I [Bm] have
is really the challenge I'm [B] in now.
So, it's got a real good purpose today.
So, we're going to have some fun here tonight.
So, how many in each one?

We had started doing the shoot around 2.30. in the afternoon to go [D] out and shoot the elements of Iowa. _ And I kind of thought the manager was kidding when he said Sid was in the hospital getting [G] stitches. They're literally burning the heads for four seconds at a thousand degrees. How [B] are you going to put them out? They're dousing quick. Okay. _ _ [F] Just know we're going to jail.
