Just kind of studying the
_ eccentricities between them.
Pretty much everything _ amazing about my favorite
things about American culture can all be found just off the interstate at your
gas station.

it's just [F#] kind of a [Cm] _ curious
[F] collection of _ [C] some pretty incredible things like fluorescent meats and cheap
machetes and _ _ [F] questionably _ [E] _ safe fireworks.
I just love [F] exploring [F#m] the local [F] gas
stations of whatever [F#] city that we're kind of rolling through.
[G] Given that we're
[F#] pretty much on the road all [F] the time now, that's pretty much what I'm [N] obsessed
with. _ _
_ _ [A] I'd have to go [G] with the Years Without Focus EP [F#] by Toledo.
One of my
very best friends [C] Dave Nardi did the artwork for it but it's just_
[F#] it's just a
fantastic EP.
Every single song on it's amazing [B] and I've worn out two or three
[G] copies in my van [F#m] so _ [N] it's probably on their band camp or something.

[C#] It's
this [E] _ gigantic orange pedal with_
it's got like two knobs on it but they don't
really do anything [F] and whenever you step on it it just sounds like shaking sheet
metal but if I'm ever having a bad day I can just go down to the [N] basement and
plug any guitar into it and it just_
it makes [E] everything alright for a
while [F] so my Super Fuzz [N] pedal I'm gonna have to go with that one.

[F] I wish I could have
been in that [G#] band because it doesn't seem [A] like each individual [C#] member had a
whole lot of responsibilities _ _ [F#] other than _ _ _ you know drinking their share of the
[F] beer and being able to make it through a set here and there so I'd have to go with
I'd have to go with Gotta By Voices. _ _ _
_ It was never really a question in my mind
of what I wanted to do.
I mean [E] I _ _ [F#] found my dad's [F] terrible old Italian acoustic
guitar in the [G] closet one time and [F#] learned how to play a Secret Agent Man
and then the [N] rest has been a blur since then so I mean I guess it was because
Secret Agent Man [Gm] was better than [N] the LSAT test so that's why I play _ _ _ _ _
_ _ My [G] dream band?
I guess my dream [G#m] band would have to be _ Fred [F#] Sonic Smith on
guitar _ [G] as well as Wayne Kramer and [E] Michael [F#] Davis on bass and [C#] _
Dennis Thompson
[F#] on drums and Rob Tyner on vocals and I'm just watching [E] and I guess that well
that's just the MC5 so like that's that's my dream band right [D#] there but I
get [N] to watch so there you go. _
_ _ _ _ _ I'd have to go with my _ one of my many
Greys shirts.
I believe Dave O'Connor designed it but it's an angry [F#] monkey in
a Shriner [D] car with a fez [F#] and it's just a [F] it's just a fantastic illustration [N] I
really like that shirt.
_ _ _ _ _ I've thought about [G] this question before and I just I
really don't have an answer I I cannot [F] picture my life at this point [N] _ _ without
rock and roll in it I can't I guess I would be [Em] listening to [G] music but that's
that's as far [E] as my prediction [C#m] could go at this [C#] point.
I [D#] shudder to think I _ [A] _ _ think
I'd be really terrible at [G] scoring any movie because I would just probably put _
Search [F] and Destroy over everything so I would have to say _ _ _ let me think here [F#] I
would do Blue Velvet but just put Search and Destroy over [F#] everything and it would
be terrible but I would enjoy it [N] so fuck you.

I'd have to go with the
Kazbah in lovely Hamilton Ontario because _ _ of how much history that we've
got with that [F] venue and [G#] _ _ [G] I'd have to say outside of Hamilton _ [F] _ _ First Avenue in
Minneapolis we had the pleasure of [E] playing the 7th Street entry which is
the kind of smaller adjacent room with its own _ amazing pedigree [F] there amazing
history bands that have [E] rolled through there but [B] for [G] anyone who's a fan of the
[A] Minneapolis music scene the way I am it's kind of it's Mecca [Am] so I [F] did First
Avenue is [A#] just a fantastic venue so _ [F] First Avenue and the Kazbah there you go.

_ _ _ _ _ I would have to say just stand-up comedy I listen to more stand-up comedy [Fm] than
music so [G] _ [A] I'm gonna have to go with my man Bill [C#] Hicks I love Bill Hicks [E] and I
wish I could have seen him but [G#] I listen to his albums a lot and any kind of _ _ _
philosophy based _ [F] _ observational comedy is just _ [F#] _ [F] motivates me to push myself harder
even though I [G#] write you [Em] know pretty basic [E] rock and roll music it just [G#] it
makes you makes [F] me want to write more [E] so I mean that's that's [F] probably my biggest
_ motivator in terms of writing.
_ _ _ _ [Gm] _ If any aspect of [F] what we do is able to connect
with anyone [C] then that's _ [F#] that's more than good [F] enough for me and [G#m] I I've never
really had [F] a specific wish [C] for any particular [N] piece of material to become
our defining thing so [D] if we can make anyone happy [C] or pissed off with our
music [A#] then that's that's awesome _ _ yeah.
