Guys the first thing you need
to know for So I Will is that we're gonna have a capo on second fret.
The
next thing you want to know for So I Will is the five chords we're gonna use
for this song.
Now we're actually gonna tackle the picking first but I'm gonna
go ahead and give you these chords that we have them ready for later.
The first
chord you need [A] is G.
_ _ _ The [D] next one is C. _
_ _ [F#m] The next one is E minor. _ _
The [E] next one is
D.
_ _ And the last one [G#] is G over B.
[A] _ _ _ _
Alright guys so first we're gonna tackle the
picking.
I'm finger picking this but you absolutely don't have to.
You can use a
pick for this.
I'm just digging the finger picking plus I want you guys to
be able to see pretty clearly what I'm doing and I think that's a little easier
with finger picking.
So for this whole picking progression we're gonna be on
the G, B, and high E strings.
We're gonna start with our first one and it's just
gonna be open [F#m] G, open high E.
We're gonna go back and forth between those
eight times.
So _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Em] next we're gonna put a third on high E and then we're still
gonna be playing open G but this time we're only gonna do it four times back
and forth.
[A] So and _ _ then we're gonna slide this back [G] to second fret and then same
thing open G, second on high E [A] four times. _ _ _ _
So we're gonna repeat that little
picking progression right there four times.
So one time through that all the
way slowly so you can see what it looks like _ [F#m] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ _ [G] and then after our fourth time
doing that we're gonna switch it up just a little bit.
So we're still gonna [F#m] hit
those first one the eight times [G] through the open G and open high E and then this
is where it gets a little bit different.
We're gonna go third on B and open G.
So
we're gonna go actually open G and third on B four [A] times _ _ _ _ _ and [E] then back to second
on [A] high E with that open G and _ [Bm] that's gonna be our last [G#m] time before we go into
the chorus.
So one time through that one will look like this.

_ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Alright guys from
there we're into chords.
First I'm gonna show you what strum pattern we're using.
I'm just using a down down up down [G] down up for each [Fm] chord.
Some of the chords
will be played through twice I'll tell you when those are but [A] that's what we're
using down down up down down up for each chord.
[G#] Alright so this chorus progression
is a little bit long so definitely write it down if you need to.
It's not hard at
all it's just a lot to remember.
So [A] we're gonna go through G _ twice and we're
gonna go E [F#m] minor once and [E] then D twice _ and _ _ _ then we're gonna go to G over [A] B once _
and then we're gonna go to C [D] twice _ and _ _ _ [A] we're gonna go back to E [F#m] minor _ _ _ once and
then we're [D] gonna go to C _ once [A] and we're gonna go back to G twice and that's our
chorus.
Like I said it's not hard all those chords are beginner friendly it's
just a lot to remember so be sure you're checking that out.
So with that
our strum pattern and our chorus chords together should look about like this.

Verse is gonna be pretty easy we're gonna [D] have C _ twice _ [F#m] and
then E minor and [A#] [E] then D.
_ We're gonna have that progression four times [G#] and then
we're gonna [D] go to C [A] twice _ G over B [E] once D once and that'll take us into the
[D] chorus.
So I'm gonna show you one time through each of those it'll look about
like this.

[F#m] _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ [Gm] And guys the very last thing we need [C] for So I Will is the bridge.
The
bridge is gonna be exactly the same as that first [D] first progression that's
gonna be C twice _ [Am] E [F#m] minor once [E] and D and this is gonna [A] start out really slow just
kind of just single down strums and then it's [F#m] gonna build and just [E] get bigger and
bigger and bigger.
So what you can do is you can kind of do single down strums
you go to four down strums you go to eight down strums you build it up really
big and it ends up building [D] into our down down [F#m] down. _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _
It builds into that at
the end so just start really small with that when the bridge starts and then get
bigger with it as the song goes along.
So one more time through that little
progression right there for bridge is gonna look about like this.
