[N] The instrument also provides a wide selection of patterns and phrases,
capturing the unique playing styles and techniques of the music.
These are completely customisable,
so whether you're creating a traditional soundtrack or adding unique textures to a contemporary track,

[C] so you can use the instrument as a [Bm] standalone app [Fm] or as a plugin [F] within your favourite DAW.

so you can see how you can use Middle East in [E] your own productions.

melodic instruments and strings.

but programmed phrases and grooves that are generated on the fly.
They are fully customisable.
By default, the instrument syncs to the host [N] tempo.
Turning off sync will give you the original tempo the groove was programmed in.
But as these aren't pre-recorded loops, changing the tempo is easy.

Auditioning grooves is [C] simple.
Just load in an instrument [F] and then select a snapshot [C] either in the Komplete Kontrol browser
or in the instrument header in the console.

[Bb] [C] And if you turn off sync, all grooves will load in their original tempo.
[Db] Each instrument comes with [C] a set of grooves.
Six grooves, or six variations of each groove.

[N] You can quickly browse through all snapshots and preview them.

[N] They can be modified with groove and intensity.
Once you're happy with it, you can also drag the pattern into your host.

Mix instrument ensembles using familiar controls and polish sounds with EQ, width and compression.
The mixer allows for complete customisation of your sound.
First start with a mixer preset.
Then fine-tune your sound with channel EQs, effects, reverb and master effects.
[F] [Fm] You can also route each channel directly [G] into your host's mixing environment.
[N] The collection offers an array of 15 percussion instruments.
Each percussion instrument has a unified layout, so it's great if you want to switch from one instrument to another.
There are patterns, fills, main single hits, rolls and a large number of articulations used by the groove.

Fills are great [G] for quick variations to a pattern.
Use the performance slider to change the tempo of the fills from 16 to 32 notes.
Rolls are similar to fills but are independent of the tempo.
Loudness can be changed by playing an [B] arpeggio.

You can select from nine wind and string instruments and produce a distinctive Middle Eastern sound by using quarter tone scales and traditional tunings.
Middle Eastern music not only uses different scales but also different tunings including quarter tones.

[Am] But it is [Bb] also easy to play in Western tuning.

Performance keys are the black keys in the lower range.
The first two keys add a fade out and a vibrato to the sound while the other trigger open strings.
