Well uh Mr.
Cameraman can you get a picture of this guitar?
[Em] Oh [E] yeah!
[C]
[N] Nice and close.
Well in [Bm] 1965 I left Chicago [A] and went to New York was trying to make it [N] there and I went over to Manny's Music on 48th Street.
And I was just looking at guitars I didn't have any money to buy one.
And I was just thinking about what I was gonna do someday.
As I was leaving the store there was a barrel by the front door and it had a bunch of guitars stuck in it.
And it said your choice $125.
And yes I did reach into the barrel and I pulled this [G] baby out.
I'd [Em] like to share a few of the features of [Am] this guitar with you.
[N] First of all it does have six knobs.
It's got three pickups on it in the shape of lipstick tubes.
It has clear plexiglass palm guard and pick guard which are mounted on springs.
I have no idea why but they are.
It does have [Bb] a mirror on the back for [Fm] girls [Bm] checking out the [Em] ladies.
[Ab] Or just [Bb] being really [Bm] trippy.
[Bbm] [Eb]
[Db] Oh did I forget [Ab] to mention that it's covered in purple [Bb] simulated alligator skin?
[E] [C] I think I did.
Yeah.
Well so the [N] other day a representative from the Hall of Fame came up and said Steve.
We want to put that guitar at the museum we'd like to get that from you.
And I said well you know really it's not for sale.
And he said well I think you might want to sell it when you hear what we're willing to pay for it.
We'd like to offer you $632 [Ab],000 [E]
[G] for the guitar.
I don't know what do you [Em] think should I sell it?
[G] [Db] Should I [G] keep it?
[E] Should I sell it?
Should [G] I keep it?
Oh yeah there's one other thing it sounds [N] like this.
