We've grown so fast.
I genuinely thought we were playing Lollapalooza for a [Gm] second.
We were already in a salty mood to begin with, and then that just added all the salt.
Ryan says, oh shit, I forgot a [C] swimsuit.
We get to Lollapalooza, and it's like middle of nowhere desert, like a super run down old water park.
I distinctly remember waiting in the pool [C] and thinking, man, this is going to feel so
good right now.
And I get in the pool and I swear to God it was warmer than the air outside.
And [Gm] I'm pretty sure it was [Bb] 60% P.
We go down this water slide that is super rickety.
There's no ventilation there.
Like it's not constructed well, so the pieces are like [G] jagged.
So the whole time you're going down, you're just like getting scraped against your back
and your legs.
Probably got tetanus by the end of that [Ebm] weekend.
When we first pull up to Lollapalooza, Ryan asked me for the swimsuit.
So I open up my bag and I pull out my [A] Speedo from when I was, you know, I did swim team
and played water polo growing up.
He took one look at my Speedo and [Gbm] said, I'm not going to [G] wear that.
I ended up wearing the Speedo for the entire [Eb] day.
It worked out really well for us because [Cm] when we were walking around like flyering and telling
[G] people to come check out our set, I told them all that I was going to be [C] playing in the
Speedo and we had probably one of the biggest crowds of the whole [Bb] time.
I'd only done one tour with the home team.
So I hadn't really found [F] my groove in playing.
This one, I was like, okay, if I just go [C] hard.
Like if I just do my thing, I put all my energy into it.
It'll be fine.
Like [G] it'll, it'll sound great.
So Brian jumps off the stage like a fucking idiot.
We start [F] playing and I think the second song I decided [C] it would be a good idea to do a
spin [Eb] jump off the stage.
And I do not stick the landing.
I didn't completely fall, but I stumbled and I had to do an entire [Cm] lap around the [Bb] crowd
to regain my footing.
[Cm] And we had probably one of the [F] biggest crowds of the whole time.
I used to GoPro every [Eb] set and I got a full shot of Brian jumping off.
So of course [Gb] in my head, I'm like, okay, I need to compensate for what I just did.
I need to go even harder.
So I'm up on stage giving it [Eb] my all.
Some sweat starts to drip [Dm] down into my eyes.
I distinctly remember it feeling like [E] thousands of needles [Ab] being put into my eyes from all
the dirt [Eb] that it caked onto my face and maybe even like chlorine and pee and pouring into my eyes.
[Bb] I spent the last three songs, so like a solid [Cm] 10 minutes with my eyes [Eb] completely closed
because if I had opened them, [C] I would have been in so much pain.
So this little [Eb] mini tour was three days long.
And [Cm] after playing the worst show we ever played in Boise [Eb] and then Lollapalooza, which turned
out to be a lot of fun, the third show on the way back home, canceled.
So we just drove straight home.
[C] [Eb] That's the worst show we've ever played.
And that's the time we played our worst show ever.
And that was the time we played Lollapalooza.
[F] Cool.
