Hello guys, this is Amos Dole Music and in today's lesson
I'm gonna teach you how to play the Stranger Things the main theme or the title sequence
But anyway, this song is actually not as like hard as you think it is
I was about to say not as easy, but yeah, it's actually not as hard as you think it is
It's actually extremely simple once you understand the patterns, okay
I'll give you a quick preview of what you're gonna learn today.
Anyway, I'm going to teach you the main theme that goes like this
Okay, check it out
Okay, like [C] this
[D]
[C]
[G] [C]
[D] [C] [B]
[C]
Exetra okay, but anyway, here we go.
Let's go ahead and teach you how to play this
So it's actually extremely easy
The reason why is because the right hand is actually doing the exact same thing the whole way
It's just having this eight note pattern that goes like this.
Basically is the C major 7 pattern that goes from C
E G [Eb] B [Db] C and back down
Like that and [C] then you repeat this pattern for the whole way
Pretty much like the whole way.
You just gotta make it smooth
Okay for smaller hand people, it can be a bit hard and difficult because you might have [Bb] to like jump
But for people who can actually reach these five notes just like in [C] one hand span
That'll be a lot easier for the song
And then you can play it smoothly make sure the whole thing on the right hand is smooth like that Okay But anyway
We've got the right hand out of the way because the right hand is always doing that
The left hand is the thing that we have to focus on the left hand is the counting
Even so it's actually pretty easy as bass notes.
So basically
It's like okay.
Here we go.
The bass notes are C
Well, you can do an octave if you want if you can reach it if you can't just use individual notes [D] again
and then goes [E] D E
And [G] up G back [C] down to C
And then it [D] goes [C] D [B] C B and that's it.
That's actually the how many notes are there
We have eight [C] notes for the left hand.
Those are the bass notes
Okay, so one more time the bass notes are C [D] [E] D E [G] G [C] C
And then D [B] C B like that now the most important thing for the left hand is the rhythm and we will teach you how to [C] count
Right now.
Okay, so check it out.
So counting the fourth just goes one two, three
four one two
three [D] four [E] one two
three four one two
[G]
[C] Three four one two, three four one
Two and on the third count to the fourth count.
This is actually a triplet.
It goes [D]
[C] three four
[B] Like that and then back to the one two, three four four holding through it.
Okay, so that
[D] [C] There's [D] like
[C] [Db] Like that so one [D] two
[C] [B] Like that, okay, so you can see they okay, let me see those [Ab] see we actually do like this.
Okay one [D] two three
[C] Four [B] like [Ab] that.
Okay, so one two
[D]
[C] Like that, okay, so make sure you do like that, okay
So it's actually easier when we do it with the two hands.
It actually corresponds to it a bit more easier.
Okay, so
Here we go.
If you don't want to do triple it actually in the cover that I did
I actually did it to the
Three three two, so turn the triple into a three three two manner
Okay, whereas like you break up into three three and two
It's like if it's not exactly like a triple but it's like three divided beats another three divided beats and another two
So he's kind of added to eight.
Okay.
So anyway, yeah, you kind of get what I mean
Okay, so I want to put the two hands together, but let's count the rhythm one more time
So basically one two, three four one two, [D] three four [E] one two
Three four one two, [G] three [C] four one two, three four one two and then to the triple on [D] three
[C] Four [B] like that again.
So once you get that rhythm, let's go ahead and like show you the rhythm for the right hand
So in terms of the counting it [C] goes like this one
Wait, let me see
Yeah, okay so it's actually pretty fast for the right answers [Cm] one
[C]
Three four one two
Four okay.
So for every four counts the right hand actually plays twice.
So just remember that
Okay, so putting all that all together just goes like this.
So check it out
Three [D] four [C] one two, three four two three
Two
[D] [C] [B] Two
Just hold it
Keep doing the [Em] round like that
Just like that it's not as hard as you think it is, okay, so yeah, that's pretty much it
So what you can come do I kind of do for the left hand.
I kind of count with my
Thumb [Bm] as the octave [C] just go like
Throughout my cover.
So check it out.
So just go like
Like [D] [Em]
[G] [C]
[D] [B]
that but I also put the left [Bm] hand a lot lower on the piano the lowest part of the [C] piano
Some of you guys have a smaller keyboard so you're limited to how low you can do the bass for the left hand
But anyway, regardless, yeah, that's pretty much it.
I guess for as for now.
Yeah, enjoy time and practicing this
Short tutorial.
Hope you like learn something from here where the patterns are actually more important
If you learn the patterns, you'll learn the whole thing really quickly.

Two and on the third count to the fourth count.
