What's going on YouTube my name is Carlton [A] Mabel aka True Music aka [Cm] See the Truth aka
C Major and today I'm going to show you how to play CPR by Summer Walker.
This song is only four chords and it's in the key of G minor so let's get right into the song.
I'm going to play a little bit of the song for you first and then I'm going to show you
how to play it.
Also if you're into sheet music I have that on my Facebook page so let's get into this tutorial.
So it sounds like this.
[Gm] [F]
[E] [Cm]
[Bb] [Dm] [E] [Eb]
[C] [Bb]
[F] [E] [Gm]
[Bb] [F]
[E] [Cm]
[Gm] [Dm] [E]
[Cm] [Gm]
[Dm] [E] [Gm]
[F] [E] [Gm]
[Dm]
[E] [Gm] And that's the song.
That's pretty much how it sounds.
So let's get into the tutorial.
Like I said this song is in the key of G minor and your first chord is right here.
First chord is a C minor 9.
[C] Your left hand is going to hit a C in the bass and your right hand is going to hit a
[G] [Gm] G Bb D [Eb] Eb.
[Gm] Alright that's your C minor 9.
That's your first chord.
Then your second chord goes to [C] a G minor 7 which is right [Gm] here.
Left hand doing a G in the [G] bass.
Right hand doing a G [Gm] Bb D F.
That's your second chord.
Then your [G] third chord goes to [Dm] a D minor 7 which is right here.
So your left hand does a D in the bass and your right hand [A] does a A [F] C F.
That's your third chord.
And then for your final chord you're just going [E] to take it down a half step to a Db minor 7.
Left hand doing a Db in the bass.
Right hand doing an Ab B E natural.
And then [Dbm] that takes you right back up to the top.
Back to your first chord C minor [Eb] 9.
So those are the chords.
I'm going to add some left hand rhythm to mix it up a little bit.
But to play those four chords for you just to eliminate any confusion it sounds like this.
[Gm] [F]
[E] [Gm]
[Bb] [F] [E] [Gm]
Alright.
Real simple and really smooth.
So those are the chords.
Now there's two different rhythms for the left hand.
The first one is very simple.
I'll play it for you so you can hear it.
Then I'll show it to you.
So it sounds like this.
[F] [E] [Eb]
You get what I'm saying?
So really what you're doing is you're pretty much playing the same rhythm that you were
playing except you got this kind of bounce on your C note.
So you're going to go.
Right?
And that's pretty much the only rhythm to it.
So on your first chord you're going.
Then everything else is just [Gm] the same.
[F]
[E] [Eb] Alright.
But your rhythm for your.
The second way you can play the rhythm is a little bit more complex and it sounds like this.
[Gm]
[Dm] [E] [Eb]
Alright.
So what you're going to do.
You're going to do that same bounce on your first chord.
So you're going to go.
Alright.
But then your left hand is going to [Gm] go from a B flat to a G.
That leads you into your second chord.
So you're.
And then to lead you into your third chord you're going to [Db] go.
[D] [Bb] So you're going to hit a B flat [C] C [Db] D flat [D] D.
And you get to this [Abm] D.
Your right hand is going to hit [F] the third chord.
Right?
Which is your D minor 7.
And then your left hand is going to [D] go.
And that's going to finish it.
So your left hand is going to go F D.
And after your left hand hits the D.
So after it hits the D.
Hits the D.
After it hits [Ab] the D.
Your right hand [E] is going to go.
Down to that fourth chord.
That D flat minor 7.
And then that's [Eb] going to lead you back to the top.
Okay.
So it's going to sound like this.
I'm going to play it slowly.
It's going to sound like this.
[Bb]
[Dm] [E] [Gm]
Alright.
And that is the song.
That's the whole song.
It literally just repeats.
And so what you'll do is you'll play the song with the bass the first way.
And then you'll play the song with the bass the second way.
So it'll sound like this.
The whole entire loop sounds like this.
[F] [E] [Eb]
[Gm]
[F] [E] [Eb] You get what I'm saying?
That's the loop.
And it's very smooth.
And so this song is really quick.
I just wanted to get you all like something really fast this week because I've been kind of busy.
So I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial.
