Hello, this is a solo guitarist today.
I'm doing a song by
_ _ Tyrannosaurus Rex the original _ glam
It's called banger gone and it's three chords.
It's EA and G
But the way that he does it he kind of you know kind of rocks it up
So I'll start off I'll do a verse [D#m] in the chorus and then I'll come back to it
[E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[B] _ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [F#] _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ You're slim and you're weak, you gotta keep it right, train up on you
Think you're dirty sweet and you're my girl _ _ _ _
[G] Keep it on, [E] banger gone, get on
Keep _ _ _ _ [G] it on, _ [E] banger gone, get _ on _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
And what I'm [B] doing there is I'm starting off E
E open A string second fret and you kind of have to muff it with your right hand or left depending on right or left
[C#] hand it and you kind of [E] just kind of _
_ _ _ _ _ _ Make it funky, you know rather than the old
_ _ you know kind of thing so it's like a _ _ _ _ _
[B] _ And then he throws in [G] the a string fourth fret there, you [E] know kind of like _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ You know kind of kind of kind of jams it up.
And so the vocals _
on it are
_ _ E _
_ [F#] A
_ back to E
[E] _
back to A
_ back to E _
then he does _ and _ _
_ _ _ So what I'm doing there is I'm doing the that punchy rock with the E _
And then going to the A is basically just one string down
_ _ Same thing then back to the E _
_ back to the A
[A] _ _ [C#] Then he does that that E which is
_ [F] _
how I play it is
open E top string A string second fret
D string second fret G [D#] string fourth fret
_ B string fifth fret and then of course you're borrowing all these so the bottom E and you hit from the top E down and
_ [E] _ _ _ _ So what [N] what I'm doing with that is I'm hitting these three strings here the the D the G and the B
[E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ [N] _
Or if you want to you could just probably get away with just hitting these two, which is the D and the G
[E] _ _ _
_ _ Some people do the open bottom two.
_ _ _ _ _ [F] I know whatever works for you, but that's the you know, that's the punch of the [E] song
And _ _ _ _ the [N] whole time I'm doing that I'm popping that top E, you [E] know _ _ _
_ _ and then that pull off that I do I hit the
_ 8th the E string [G] third fret _ and then I [F#] slide
Down one and then I do a pull off.
[E] _ _ _ So I only hit it once I hit it here
[D#] and I pop it off [G] like that _ _ [A#] _ _ _ and then it goes [E] into the _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [A#] _ [C#] in the chorus on that song is [G] G a
_ _ _ _ [E] Back to the E _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [D#] _ _ _ And that's pretty much the whole song
[F] _ _ _ [N] _ _ _
